OMG it never ends

I know Sarah I'm seriously so tired of all the problems. The only way they are helping me out now is that I tell them that since I'm getting married in Mexico they require copies a month in advance or order to process the legal paperwork. AND THANKGOD they expidited the passport to me the first time I talked to them because I wasn't suppose to get it until mid May, and it would have come in misspelled and wrong DOB... What a freaking PITA..

Let this be a lesson to EVERYONE getting married out of the country.. FILE EARLY.. at least 6 months that way you have plenty of time to take care of all these problems if they come up

well, apparently paul had applied in 1999 - so now he has to fill out "the enclosed form" for a lost passport. however, there was no enclosed form. i am sure we can find it - but he has to reapply basically. i'm freaking out a little, but what can i do?! it's his fault.

sarah - i may try this. we applied mid-Feb and i don't have mine yet.

ok, here's the deal. i know they're overloaded. and i know they're working hard. but if they just paid attention and did things right the first time, i bet they would be able to catch up easier!

i am having this email correspondence w/them. i asked if i would get my passport my mid-May. they said "we need more information to process your passport request. we cannot give an estimated date over email. please call this 800 number" (i do, and get hung up on several times)

i responded asking if they needed more information to process my actual passport, or to answer my email question about estiamted date of arrival. she sends back the same thing, telling me to call. i ask again in an email, which one it is, what do they need from me.

she sends me a third email with that same paragraph, saying "as i already told you ... " with that text in bold. i said "as i already asked, do you need more info. to process my passport or my email question."

i swear, if she took the extra 10 seconds to actually read my email we could be all set! i'd be ok if she just told me "i can't answer that question in email" (though i'd wonder why). but now she has me wondering if they're having trouble with my passport.

sorry to hijack, Tammy!

Well, after being on hold with the passport company for over an hour. here are my choices..

1. mail it back, put "urgant passport re-write", and they will do their best to get it back to me as soon as they can.

2. Drive to Chicago and have them process it.

OMG,, I seriously need a drink I'am so stressed.. We have family coming in next week for Missy's weeding, I have appointments every day next week, and most of the following.. That leaves tomorrow or the Monday after Missys wedding to drive to Chicago and back in one day so that I'm home on Tuesday for another appointment.

guess who just called me!? the passport agency! my application is suspended. they needed a picture id showing i am now going by my maiden name (that was all i was doing, was a name change). she was very nice though, and i asked her when i would get it, before the wedding. she said she'd rush it and would process it as soon as she got my fax. i said i'd do it right now!

oh, and i told paul that i am marrying SOMEONE on June 8th - he better be there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
