damn, tammy. i'm sorry! what can they do, or will they do? they better fix it, and expidite it, and at no charge to you!

just got a letter in the mail today about Paul's passport - he had applied for a new one. well, the letter says that he had applied for one in 1999 and if he doesn't have it, he has to apply for a lost or stolen one. i ask him if he applied, he said "probably." AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I've tried to call the passport agency but the lines are busy and the recording hangs up on me... I've read online that they correct it with no fee. BUT I have to get ahold of them which is a HUGE PITA..

So you have to order a new passport for Paul and expidite it?

OK, Tammy & Ann- you're stressing me out! lol, just kidding. I feel your pain though. Tammy- you seriously have the worst luck of anyone i've ever met. Your luck is going to be awesome after the wedding- it has to be!

Ann, why do guys do this to us? How they can get through life being so scatterbrained sometimes is beyond me.

So, I've spent the last 2 weeks stressing about my brother, SIL, and niece's passports. They applied Feb 2nd or 4th, something like that. Anyway- that was over 11 weeks ago abd they were still not here. We called the number when you go to travel.state.gov to check your status without any satisfaction. Both my brother and I sat on hold for hours waiting to talk to different people. Come to find out, they had messed up the spelling of my brother's name, and my nieces birthday and they weren't even to the "processing" phas yet. My dad called our congressman Dave Camp on Tuesday and was immediately transferred to someone who handles passport issues full time. My dad explained the situation, that they were traveling in 10 days, that my brother is joining the air force in 3 weeks and that it was my wedding and probably our last family vacation, yada yada. The guy told my dad not to worry, they'd have them but the end of the week. Jared (my brother) got his yesterday, and my SIL and niece got theirs today. They were shipped FedEx next day.

So, if you're not getting satisfaction from the passport company, contact your local representative- I couldn't believe how fast he got the job done! You have to be within 14 days of travel though...

thats what i thought too! unless it shows you being 15 or 50 and they might question if you ARE who you ARE! but if they dont get it to you in time and you can still use it you can just go to the court house and make it legal. probably no ideal but at least youd still be able to go.

yeah, that's true - i forgot about the marriage! LOL

could you bring your driver's license and do you have an old passport you could bring & maybe a birth certificate for the proof of your real birthday? at least you have a physical passport, so you CAN get into the country...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
