Doctor office color??

My DH and I are opening our own practice. We already have our space and all that. We are now down to decorating. I want to go with a light green b/c the floor tile has a little orange in it. He doesn't like green but I don't think blue will really go. Plus the front space is smaller so I don't want to go to dark and make it look smaller. If you were in a doctor's office what colors relax you? I was thinking of doing a darker green (sagey) on an accent wall and getting a big mirror to open it up. Any ideas? Also what do you think of a couch and chairs instead of all chairs?

Oh and this is a Chiropractor's office if that makes a difference. So there's a massage therapist too so relaxing and comforting colors are good.

hmmm the colors of my room at my moms was like a grey/lavenderish colors, i always felt cozy and relaxed in that haha.

or i do like the green too, but that also reminds me of the "green room" from high school, thats where we went when we were "bad" blahah

hmmm how about a nice carmel/cream color? you can accent it with grns??

I'm not that good with colours but I'll comment on the couch vs. chairs. If you'll have more than one patient waiting at a time I'd go with chairs. I wouldn't want to have to sit close on a couch to another patient. But that could just be me.

I work in a doctors office (psychology) and we have 8 chairs and a bench in the waiting area. Everyone that comes in trys to sit as far away as they can from anyone that's already waiting.

Although if the area is big enough to have lots of couches and arm chairs it could work. The laser eye clinic I went to had about 12 leather couches in the waiting area. That was nice!

Me too! That's why we wear "greens" at work (I work in ICU) -- the colour is supposedly calming.

I love green, but have had bad experiences with it on walls in several differnet places I've lived in... boo sad.gif The only place I liked it was in a kitchen once and it was dark forest green with white cupboards and burnt orange tile floor. It was fabulous.

In terms of soothing, massage, etc. I'd go with caramel/or some kind of very light brown/sand colour. Kind of more natural-ish and then you could accent with more fun colours.

I'm a physician and my office space/waiting room/exam rooms are a nice cream, kind of light yellow, which has been shown to have a calming effect. I must say, so far so good!!! It would go well too with orange'ish floor, I think? My floors are birch-like laminate...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
