BD book thoughts?

Recommended Posts

When I first started reading about these BD books I thought that it was a nice idea but not for me. I know FI would love it since he sees me in a different light than I see myself but I'm insecure. I had never even heard of this before I came to this forum and now I see this idea everywhere.

I tried searching for other threads but nothing would come up so here I am.

I doubt I'm the only one that has insecurities so how did you get over it and get these pictures done? I've never seen any pictures so are they tasteful or is that depending on the photographer and what you want? What do they provide you with? i.e. hair/makeup/outfits. I'm just really curious about the whole process and cost. Maybe just maybe if I hear enough good things I might consider doing this since I know how much FI would appreciate it. TIA for the input!!!

I am getting this done as well for my man. I think everyone has their insecurities. I also think that Boudour shoots are very tasteful, I means its FAR from Hustler or anything like that! I think its just some sensual pics in as much or as little of clothing you feel comfortable in.

Im sure it does depend on the photographer, but for the most part I think Boudours are very tasteful.

There are some that include makeup and hair, I know that most "marathons" do.

To loosen up a bit I plan on drinking a glass of wine or 2 during!

You should google Boudour and you can see tonnes of pictures!

I think this is a great present for the mister~ I think he would appreicate it very much ! :)

GOod Luck with whatever you decide!

I'm doing them, just because it's something the FI would NEVER think I would do. My session includes hair and makeup, however that was because of the package I chose.

I plan on using his favorite soccer jersey I bought him for christmas. A flowy satin robe, and a longer sexy satin nighty. I get up to 4 outfit changes, but those are the only outfits I felt comfortable wearing. I'm not exactly a small girl, so I'm very self conscious about my thighs, belly, and well the rest of my body!!

I'm just going to go with it and hopefully loosen up enough. I'm taking my MOH with me, so I may grab a bottle of wine for the day and just make her drive home!!

I absolutely hate most of my body (ass, hips, thighs, stomach) but I did BD pics b/c they will blow FI away. He wouldnt think I would do anything like that. My session included hair and makeup. My photog brought some props, but I did all the outfits. I hate lingerie too and really have never worn any. I had pics done in his Philadelphia Flyers jersey and my knee high heels, pics in his favourite collared shirt and heels, pics just wrapped in a sheet, pics in my boyshorties, pics in a bedroom bra/panty set (sheer black with polka dots) and pics with my white bridal bustier and jeans. My pics should be ready soon and I imagine Ill post some. I was super nervous before doing them and figured I'd be in tears in the middle of the session, but I actually had fun. Its all about the illusion of sex -- the pics I have seen are tasteful and cute and FI probably wont know its me right off the bat. My suggestion is throw caution to the wind and just do them. Best decision I ever made was to not let my insecurities get the best of me.

I am doing a 'marathon' sessions that includes hair, makeup, etc with some other girls on this forum.

You should absolutely look at photographers portfolio's and see what the pictures look like. They are completely tasteful and can be as naughty or nice as you want them to be.

We ALL have body insecurities; whether you are a size 0 or a size 200... First of all, you have to tell yourself that this is for FI and he loves your body as it is, perceived flaws and all. Second, I plan on drinking a bit to loosen myself up. Third, these photog's get paid to make you look good; they are professionals - so find someone that you have complete confidence in...

It's something my FI would never expect.. I am super excited to shock him.

you're not the only one insecure. I know I probably woulndt feel secure in having a stranger photograph me in my skimpies. (and i do wear skimpies)

first and foremost just do some research online. there are plenty of samples. and i'm sure there will be many a brides that would be willing to show you their photos that they had done.

you need to then find a photographer you are comfortable with. maybe its a woman maybe its a male photographer. maybe its you with a remote to your camera wink.gif

the shoot is really up to you and your comfort level. maybe you just feel comfortable with some implied stuff under some sheets or maybe a little lin-ger-eee. maybe its full artistic nudes. the photographer should understand and be able to pick up on your level of comfort.

so with that said it's all up to you wink.gif

good luck and just have fun with it. the more fun you have the better the pics will turn out. (a little glass of wine never hurts either haha)

I am a boudoir photographer. I just want to let you know that every girl who comes in is nervous and has some areas of their body they are not comfortable with. When I shoot its like having your girlfriend in the room with you. Photographers are going to make this a fun experience for you. We will help you pose and help you select the best pieces of lingerie for you. We also try not to focus on the areas you dont like, we do this through posing and lighting. Overall this is a fun experience and the girls who have come to my studio have left feeling great about themselves and feeling silly about being so nervous.

I hope you decide to do it! I have some ideas and photos on my blog if you would like to look. www.bijouboudoir.blogspot.com I hope this helps!

I was thinking about doing this for awhile and it was making me really nervous. I just decided I will go for it and I asked one of my besties to do it with me and she loved the idea. It made me a lot more relaxed to know that someone I am really comfortable with will be there doing the same thing and now we are both soooo excited and we are going to go lingerie shopping together to figure out what to wear.

Find a photog that you are comfortable with and they can help you camoflage the areas you may not want to flaunt. Trust them, their job is to make you look good (that's what you are paying them for).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
