i love the white...all of them white i should say.  i think it looks very "wedding" and elegant!  i'm impressed by how nice they look.  where did you buy your paper lanterns from?  do you remember pricing on these and how many you got?  congrats on a job well done!

my friend said 20-25 for a decent size room should make the room pop just enough with not too many lanterns.  you don't want to over-do things w/ the lanterns because then it will look tacky.  if you know the size of the room, it might be helpful for you in ordering the correct number you need to have for your venue.  happy planning to you!  :)

(very important this is usually done unofficially, so CASH only!)

As long as you are packing the batteries/LEDs into your suitcase (ie. the bag that will be your checked luggage) you will be fine.

Thank you! So would you suggest assembling the LEDs before hand and inserting a paper tab so they can just pull them? What did you use as the tab? I dont fancy being sat assembling LED lights in Mexico lol.. I would prefer to get them done before we leave xxx

Yes, we had our LED throwies ready to go before we got to Mexico. That way I could just hand it over to the onsite WC and not worry. I cut up small pieces of plastic (the kind that you get new items in...ie. I had just bought a new hair straightener and the plastic window in the box is what I cut up) The plastic is a little stronger than paper, and you won't have to worry about it possibly tearing as they pull out the tab to activate the light.

I put them together about a month before we left. You have to use electrical tape!! This is really important....otherwise someone could get quite a shock.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
