Same Day Weddings?

Recommended Posts

On my day I think they had 4 brides. I knew about the one after mine as we chatted up the whole time at the resort. Oh that was soo fun going back and forth tthe whole time on what we had planned. I think they had a 1pm, mine at 3pm (which turned into almost 4 because of the hurrican delay) and then the 4pm which turned into a 5pm Sunset wedding. The 5pm girl actually canceled for the following day because of the weather. The 1pm girl I saw her at the spa in the morning and actually never saw her again till the following day. Since dealing with hurricane, we had to move all ideas to different sections of the resort that morning, I didn't have a problem with it even though I horribly wanted the beach and the tiki hut for my reception. Looking back on it.. I am completely happy with what we chose in the end. I had an outdoor reception on a private elevated deck by the pools. I know Alyssa (4pm wedding) chose to have her reception at the steakhouse indoors. Only time I ran back into Alyssa was after our receptions were done by the main evening bar.

I loved my day and felt totally like a princess the entire time even knowing so many other brides and b2b were around. You forget about everyone else.. or at least I did.. all sense of time, who else was around .. you name it. It's a day that is all about you and you will feel it all happen so quick too..

On my wedding day, there were 3 weddings (12pm, 2pm, and 4pm - mine). Each bride had their reception dinner in a different a la carte restaurant. I only ran into one of the other brides at the bar where both groups ended up for dancing/drinking after about 9pm. I have no clue what the 3rd one did. It helps that we had a HUGE resort. We all did our own thing and it was fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
