My bridesmaids are throwing me a shower next weekend and I have no idea what to get them! I'm not sure how much to spend considering I am also getting them something for being my bridesmaid (which I am thinking of paying for their bridesmaid dresses). The dresses were on sale, so they are only about $95, so I think I'm getting off pretty cheap with that! I just have no idea what to do for them for the shower. I don't want to spend too much, but also don't want to be cheap about it since they are throwing me the shower, and flying to Mexico for the wedding. What have others done Thanks so much for any ideas/help you can give!

I am stealing an idea from another girl on here....I had no clue what to do untill I read her post. I am going to do a photobook from Shutterfly | Develop, Print & Share Digital Photos: Create Photo Gifts Online. I am also getting them a starfish necklace and earrings from Swarvosk. I am sure anything you decide they will love. Keep searching on here there have been a lot of threads about this!

Did you end up looking at those necklaces in person? What did you think?

I did go to the Swarvoski store in the mall and they did have one. I bought it right then and there. However I have made some modifications to it. There are two starfishes on two chains.

I was able to find chains the same...um...thickness at Khols and so I bought two and got home cut the original necklace and so now I have two necklaces for around $100 give or take. I am at work right now, so I can't post pictures of my semi DYI project.

I bought my shower hostesses spa wraps from www.smartypantsboutique.com-they are too cute. I am also getting them a necklace and a zebra print coffee mug filled with cookies (my theme is black/white/hotpink)

Thanks for the good suggestions! Are any of your bridesmaids also throwing you a shower? If so, did you get them 1 gift for being a bridesmaid, and a separate gift for hosting the shower?

I'm only getting them gifts for being my bridesmaids, but I might give it to them after the shower.

I don't think you're traditionally expected to give a gift to your bridesmaids at the shower (I dont remember where, but someone on these forums mentioned that she had hosted 4 showers and never received anything). You can certainly get them a token of your appreciation, but I would be inclined to get them something small, and then give them a nicer gift at the wedding.

I have never received anything for throwing a shower, except one where the groom brought us all flowers and his bride flowers. That's all. Pretty much all I've ever gotten for throwing a shower was a thank u card and a headache from the bridesmaids. Been MOH twice. Oh and stuck with a huge bill.
