New Moon Palace in Punta Cana

Hello Starfish007 and Jennifergk13,

 

Ladies just to give you a piece of mind, my wedding fell apart in Moon Palace Riviera Maya due to swine flu so we moved it to Moon Palace Punta Cana. I only had two weeks two organize all the details in Punta Cana( I had to start from scratch).So ladies not to worry, you have plenty of time! Nancy and Maria helped me tremendously! They did an amazing job with bouquet & flowers(beautiful),cake(delicious), buffet(yummy), outside reception set up(great),photographer and videographer www.hdcphoto.com (breathtaking photos and video) .We arrived Friday and wedding was Saturday( unfortunately we didn't even have enough time for rehearsal dinner)but Nancy was able to pull everything off in 2 days!!! Our ceremony was on the beach,GORGEOUS!

We had 23 guests total . Because we had to move the wedding date due to swine flu we actually lost half the guests,originally in Mexico we had 50 guests. But the wedding still turned out fantastic!

thanks for your input and pictures - it has been very helpful. Is the photographer provided by Moon Palace? I am planning to do the Diamond Package - it includes 50 pictures, but they have not e-mailed me the photographer's website. Also, is the hotel still under construction?

Congratulations!!! You may still be at the resort at the time I am writing this. I would love to hear how everything turned out on your big day! I am especially curious on the flowers and bbq buffet. If you could forward any information you received directly from the WC regarding the menus, flowers, etc. I'd love to see it. I am really torn with the food for the reception. I wanted to do a sit down dinner outside but they can only do a buffet outdoors. Just wanted to see how that turned out. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Congratulations on your recent wedding! I am having so much difficulty with planning right now. I would love to hear all of the details on how everything turned out for you. Specifically:

Which wedding package did you choose and was it worth the extra money for basically the ceremony setup (flowers/color scheme)

Was there music playing as you walked down the aisle?

Did you have a cocktail reception following the ceremony? If so, was it complimentary and what was your menu options/beverage options?

What was the decor for the outside buffet reception? Menu/beverage options?

Did you choose an included bouquet or upgrade?

How long did the reception last?

What did you do for music during the reception?

What did you and your guests do following the reception?

I just reserved 6/25/10 for my wedding at MP PC!!! I am so excited, and I am looking for others who are going this way too! My coordinator in Miami is Michelle R. I havent heard from her personally but I have talked with ladies down there a few times. This forum has taught me to be patient. Any news on package details/prices/locations (gazebos?)/etc? I know there are more girls asking for info than those dealing it out in this thread Hopefully thatll change soon!

 

Anyway, just wanted to get the ball rolling for us MP PC gals. Have you seen the MP Mexico thread? Its HUUUUGE!

Hello Amy,

 

After two months of aggravation, I finally signed the contract, and I'm finally getting answers. The weddings department in Florida is very very slow. However, after getting my point accross, I've received all the answers I need from them. If you have any questions about the wedding, you should contact nancy at nariza@palaceresorts.com. It takes her a couple of days to respond, but she'll answer all of your questions. They just sent me the following attachment.

this information is very useful as i was looking at the mp pc 2day ans there was no infomation on there weddings. i am so happy that they are. so now its between jamaica and dom rep . it is really hard to make my mind up.

Hey ladies, Michaelle emailed me the wedding contract! We're just waffling now on symbolic vs civil ceremony... I think we'll end up with symbolic bc it sounds like less hassle... Anyway, it's almost official! All in all it was about 3 weeks from my original request for the date/time to the emailed contract, with 3 phone calls between. Not too bad. Looking forward to hearing from more MP PC brides to be!!

 

Ps Tcana, thanks so much for the attachments! Unfortunately I don't think I have enough points yet to open but I'm working on it!!!
