Palace Passport Trip Experience?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am going to be a Moon Palace Bride in July. I have never been to Cancun or any Palace resorts before.

If you have any experience with the free tours and other things that come with the Palace Passport that is given to each guest with a 3-night stay, please share. I would like to pass on any recommendations and/or cautions to the guests at my wedding.

Do you recommend any of the tours over others if guests only have time for one or two?

Are any sales pitches forced on the guests at any of them or only at the hotel?

What items do you recommend people bring with them?

I think this will be a full week. I am so excited. I have heard that Moon Palace is huge. I hope we have a chance to meet each other in person. We are going to be at the moon from the 5th to the 16th.

These next few months are going to be exciting! I hope to hear some of these answers soon.

AND smile72.gif I definitely want to do the zip line too...... BUT after the wedding!! blush2.gif

  • 5 months later...

I did the Tulum excursion when I stayed at Aventura Spa Palace. It was worth it. It was a short tour of the ruins then you got to walk around by yourself and check it out. Just the right amount of history before exploring. The breeze off the water keeps it cool enough that you don't get too hot (I was there in March). We then went to one of the other Palace Resorts for food and drinks. That was a cute place, but would not be happy if I stayed there. Glad it was only a few hours in the afternoon. It started with an X, but can't remember the full name.

I heard the zip lining was cool, but you are right next to the highway. Might be a better location through a different company.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
