Questions about TTD

Recommended Posts

I will be doing a TTD, but my questions are have anyone done their TTD not right by the resort? Maybe by a waterfall or something like that? I would love to some how do half at like a waterfall or something like that or a baseball field. (Where we met and thats where we are 95% of the time and we are going to the DR and the DR is huge for baseball) sorry just a little side note so that you all would understand.

Search TTD and you'll find alot!!! Most girls don't even do the beach by their resorts. RM is big for cenote. I convinced a friend of mine here to do her's out in the woods w/ the snow a couple months ago. You can really do it anywhere you please. I think of TTD as you just having fun, not alot of posed shots

And you can definitely do multiple locations. We are doing beach, a bat cave and a cenote.

I have another TTD question-- I know it may sound out of place but has anyone done the TTD session before the wedding (perhaps a few days earlier at the destination location)? I was anti-TTD but then I saw so many wonderful pictures on BDW! I just don't know if logistically we will be able to do the shoot the day after the wedding. Would it be too weird to do it before? Just wondering what others think. Thanks!

Jacilyn-- I am getting married at Dreams Tulum (hopefully)... and I'm trying to plan out my TTD. Who are you using for yours? Do you know where the bat caves, etc are located? Thanks so much!

I think its fine. The only thing would be if you are going to wear your actual wedding dress you probably want to get it cleaned before the big day. If you are going to have a ttd specific dress then no problem!

Ya there are sooo many cenotes, just along the road even! We really wanted to do ours at Dos Ojos cenote. One of the other girls and i have been talking and she really convinced me on the bat caves. They are only a few miles north of Tulum. If you just want the cenote it there is a local entrance that only costs $10 per person. If you want the bat cave you actually have to go into hidden worlds. Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park Yucatan Mexico Riviera Maya you can contact them, they will make special arrangements for you w/ prices.

Hope that helps, let me know if you want more!

We are doing our TTD session off-site and I believe we are going to a cenote or another beach. Our resort won't let outside vendors unless we pay for a room or something rediculous.. but that's ok with us. It's like our own little getaway :) I think a Baseball diamond sounds fantastic!! It's original, unique and means something to the both of you and that's what counts. TTD sessions are for you and your FI anyways.. do what makes you happy and take pictures you can look fondly upon later on in life.

I agree with Jacylinda, If you want to do it the day before I suggest you to use a specific TDD dress for the occasion, some of my clients are thinking about that option :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
