When to give BD book?

Recommended Posts

I bought Matt one of the little books from MyPublisher | Create your own Photo Book with MyPublisher and receive a published hardcover book! b/c I got mine doen on 05/06/08, but we were leaving on the 14th or something. So there was no time to get a real book done. I actually like the one I made and it was perfect for that. I think I will make a more elaborate one for him soon, but that did the trick for the gift. Plus so many people have lost their books while on vacation, that I think it's good to have a low-key version. I think it was like $12 or maybe $20?

Either way, whichever company you choose, make sure you google coupon codes first. I know that mypublisher sometimes has free books. Or something I learned from Morgan, you can sometimes buy codes off of ebay for free books or something. So make sure to check for deals before you order!

I did mine in just a few hours, probably longer then needed. And I received it before we left for JA, so it literally took like 2 days. I got my photos done on the 4th, but didn't get the dvd with proofs until like the 9th (which was actually really quick, since i knew my photog personally). I ordered the book the same day and had it in hand by the time we left on the 14th. I probably paid extra for shipping, but that would only be a few dollars. So all in all, yes, you can get the book quickly. You just need to make sure the photog gets you the edited photos by a certain date, so be clear with then on when you need the photos by...

The logistics/timing never worked out for me to give him the book the day of the wedding. I was going to have our photographer's husband deliver it, but he was with his groomsmen and family all day. (Did not want it falling into the wrong hands.....)

So I gave it to him on our first morning as husband and wife, and I snapped pictures of his reaction!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
