That's very smart!  It made me feel more confident about our budget too.  Thanks JayKay! :)

YAY! Glad to see this stirred up a little discussion.  We have budgeted 10K that includes our travel (flight and hotel) but no honeymoon the rest is all wedding costs.  Our reception/dinner is going to cost about 2k-3k we think with DJ and bar and everything, photographer is just under 3k (could have gotten carried away here) so now that I am breaking it down it doesn't seem like much!

We have done a spread sheet for 20/30/40/50/60 guests and comparing costs etc and we seem to be able to make it work.  I expect we will end up closer to 12k though!

I am hoping to keep mine under 10K including travel and accomodation which I think will be easily achieved for us! Going to keep things simple!

Hello ladies, My FI and I also have a 10k budget not including our wedding bands. I'm also trying to include air/resort stay and everything else in the budget. I'm a little lucky because the best man is a DJ so we won't have to worry about, my brother in law is up and coming graphic designer so I will have him design my monogram he will also take our save the date photo and my cousin is a beautiful crafter and will make my invitations so I sure as hell hope to stay within 10k because we are planning to buy a house all in the same year as the wedding!! Aaah this is going to be some roller coaster!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
