Alright! So I'll start from the beginning. We have a minimal budget w/ a new baby and trying to get a new house. When we first started I thought "Oh, I can do w/ a cheap simple dress it'll be fine" I thought I'd just go to David's Bridal during their sale. Well, my mom lives on the otherside of the country and isn't able to help alot in the planning process.

Well, my mom came to visit last May cause i had just given birth to her granddaughter. I thought maybe we could go dress shopping, that could be something we could do together.

My MOH (lil sis) and FSIL came w/ us as well. Now, my mom looks at a dress on a mannequin (sp?) and it's the dress. The dress on the mannequin is a size 2 I am not a size 2 and it doesn't look like that on me! My sis goes with the crowd, and FSIL doesn't like lace or beading, must show cleavage and lots of skin! So in the end I bought the dress we all liked cause it was the only one we liked, even though it wasn't my fav. I felt like I needed to buy the dress while my mom was w/ me. And really I didn't feel like any of the dresses I tried on were THE dress.

I've been battling this for a while, cause I have VERY MINIMAL budget if I'm to get a new one. Well, I did it!!!! And I'm so very excited!

Here is the dress i first bought:

And here is the new dress!!!!

Once I have it I will definitely post pics of me. I told myself I wouldn't be a girl w/ multiple dresses, but once you start thinking about it and THE dress you just can't stop thinking about it until you have it!

LOL!!! I know! When i first started looking I kept for looking for dresses that my mom, sis, and FSIL would like. Then i went for what i wanted. WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK!!! It's my day! (That's the bridezilla in me!) My mom is going be upset, she REALLY liked the 1st dress. I brought up to her the other day that I was thinking about a new one and she was kinda bummed. I'm emailing the pick to her right now.

We'll see what she says!

LOL, sounds like you were in the same situation I was! I refused to look at more expensive dresses or dresses that didn't fit a certain style (one that my mother/FI wanted me to have). And I bought it... and I ended up LOATHING it and buying a whole new one!!

For the record, I LOVE your second dress! It's really beautiful!!! What about wearing the first one for a TTD or something? Or slipping into that one later on in the evening for dancing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
