I was looking in all over the threads but could not find what I was looking for...

On my RSVP cards should I be asking how many are attending? And get the names of the people that are attending.

What type of words are you doing? Not sure what verbage to use.

Also if my wedding is Nov 28 09 when should I ask for the RSVP to be returned? Is July to early? I want to give myself enough time to buy more supplies if needed but don't want to rush people that are still trying to decide if they will be attending.

Thanks

Mary

You can try the basic wording below. I did ask for names as I had place cards individualized. Depending on the travel needs, July may be too soon for a November wedding. Do you have a TA you can ask? My deadline was 2 months prior to the wedding.

These are all really good questions and probably ones I should be concerned with myself since my date is just before yours!

I think it's traditional to ask how many people are coming. I would do so especially since you're having a DW. On weddingpaperdivas.com they have good examples of wording for RSVP cards.

I think you're only supposed to send the invitations out within 2 months of your wedding date. But those are according to etiquette experts, so if you don't want to follow it, it's up to you.

I think right now with the economy, if someone hasn't decided within 3 months of your date, they probably aren't coming...but then again some people like to make last minute decisions.

Most wedding websites offer a RSVP function. If you haven't sent out the STDs, maybe you can ask that people RSVP on your website.

Good luck...I will stay tuned to see what others have to say. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
