Back Facial?

Okay, girls...I am a hot power yoga instructor and have some back acne from constantly being in the heat while I teach. Kinda Gross and emabarrasing, I know. I also have tan skin so I get dark spots after my breakout heals. Has anyone had a back facial and does it work?

Thanks!

Denise

Never tried that. I don't have back acne, but with the new warm weather, and with me stressing out trying to run around doing last minute wedding stuff, I've had a few blackheads cropping up on my back.

I'm taking oral medication to control it. Although I'm sure a back facial would be nice, maybe it would be more effective to see a dermatologist and get some sort of acne treatment? And then do back treatments at the salon on top of that?

girls stupid question - but what do they do for a facial? I've never had one before? Do hey give you a face massage as well? Does the lotion/chemical peel smell good? are they relaxing?

YES!!! I don't use Retin-A, but I use Triluma for hyperpigmentation & it is like $120/tube in the US. While in Cabo, I picked up two smaller tubes that would equate to a bit more than the large tube & only paid like $65. RetinA is much cheaper - so stock up!

Just had a facial peel, This is what I learned today: Peels are more benficial for the long run where facials are good for relaxing and look good for about 2 weeks. I have been getting facials for like 4 years and will now do peels. The peel stings like 5 minutes and that is it...peels take like 30 minutes versus facials which take like 90 minutes and are somewhat painful due to the extractions depending on how clogged your pores are.

Hope this bit of info helped!

It depends on what kind of skin issues you have. Generally they cleanse your skin & then use steam to open up your pores. If you have blackheads they will do what they call "extractions" - which is just a fancy term for squeezing out the blackheads. Then they will do some sort of exfoliation & mask. If you want to do a glycolic peel they do that, then moisturize & massage your face/hands & your done.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
