Anyone use Dreams Wedding Pkg Exclusively?!

So my FI and I chose Dreams because it seemed like we got a better deal because sooo much was included in the price of the wedding package, but the more time I spend on these message boards, it seems like everyone is using outside vendors! I have heard horror stories about the make-up done by the Dreams salon, so I know I will have to do research on where to go for that...but we are using their photographer, videographer, cake, decorations, etc. Basically, I am going down there with my dress and the stuff for the OOT bags...except now I am worried about getting other vendors!!! Not worrying about that stuff was the main thing that appealed to me about a DW and I hope SOMEONE out there has some experience on using DREAMS exclusively!

I am using the dreams ultimate package. I did hire my own DJ, DJ Ricardo, and used Mango Weddings thru Dreams, but uprgraded him for more coverage. Both of them were extemely easy to work with and I found thier contact info in this website.

 

I have not made any decisions on the decorations and probably wont for a few months, but assume that I will be upgrading candles, flowers, votives, chair bows and some other things that are not included. But I plan on just doing these things thru Dreams, unless the prices seem way too hight.

 

One of my BFF's is a make up artist so she will be doing my make up. I am going to ask my WC at Dreams if I can swap the dreams make up and have a second hair appointment. So maybe I can do a hair trial the day before and then the wedidng haor the day of. I am going to stick with something simple for hair to try to make the best of it. If it gets really messed up, my FI's sister did hair for a couple of years, so I think she can fix it as a back up plan.

 

Many of the other Cabo brides have nothing but RAVE reviews for Suszanne Morel for hair and make up if you go a different route. All of the pics of the brides she has done have been amazing. Since I have my own makeup person I decided that I did not want to have to leave the resort to have hair done, so I figured this is one place I could save money in the budget.

We are also getting married at one of the Dreams and originally we were going to purchase the Ultimate package as well, but changed our minds last week. We now are hiring a WC to take care of everything and dealing with the vendors... only for peace of mind, because the dreams where we are getting married is a new property.

Not sure what Dreams you choose, but I've heard great things of weddings at the Dreams and their packages.

OMG Erika J! Mango Weddings looks phenomenal! You are the first person who mentioned them so I just googled their website...OMG again!! Your pictures are going to come out so beautiful...I am already jealous! LOL! Seriously, I really like their samples...were they ridiculously expensive?

They are one of the photogs you can pick for package from dreams cabo. I am SUPER excited to work with them. You can see more from him on this forum in the cabo vendors section.

 

IMO, he was very reasonable in his prices. I was able to upgrade for many more hours of photgraphy and just barely went over my budget.

 

I also loved Juan Carlos Tapia's work, but he was out of my budget.

Did you upgrade to one of Mangos Packages or did you just add on extra hours?

I did the Value Package ( I think, the 3 hour package) for photgraphy only and then added one more hour on top of that.

Oh ok, I think we are going to get the 6 hour value package. And if we decide on a Dreams package use those pics for the welcome dinner.

K - you can also email Jerome to see if he can work with you on giving you something else instead of the sutff that is included with the Dreams pacakge.
