any advice on somethin that WORKS?

Cardiovascular exercise and weight training will be the best bet. Also try South Beach Diet to cut down the carbs and sugar.

Aim for this each week:

Two - Three 45-minute cardio sessions

Two - Three weight training sessions

Along with South Beach, you should see some results.

my gym shut down a few years ago. i switched to all at home workouts with a variety of dvds. I love it. it's nice to not have to leave home. I do the workouts on my portable dvd player so i can watch tv.

i like some of the p90x videos. my husband does them all, but i only do a few. love tubo jam. I have a couple taebo videos. I'm also really in to MTV power yoga lately.

All I need for this is a set of 5-8 lbs weights & a yoga mat.

there are workout dvds on netflix if you want to try them first. the beachbody line isn't on there (p90x, turbo jam, hip hop abs), but they do a free trial.

Yeah, it's all about the combination of cardio, weight training, and nutrition. I use pilates DVDs at home that really concentrates on core muscles (abdominal and back muscles). I also do nutritional cleanses which helps eliminate toxins from the body and eventually fat cells and truly works! Because you have a 10 month-old, I would consult with a health practitioner before altering your diet too much.

Thanks for all these ideas. I am one of those people that just has a good metabolism so I am thin however, I like to work out because it makes me feel betterand to tone. However, I do lack the motivation and I find it becomes worse as I get older. I have the original TaeBo video and I like it because it only takes 25 - 30 mins so any other ones similar to that length is great for me!!

I know it has mixed reviews - but I love the South Beach Diet! I HATE working out so for me this has been the easiest way to lose the baby wieght! You can find a lot of online resources for it - the first 2 weeks is def. the hardest but you do see changes which is enough motivation for me to stay on it! Good Luck!

I am not a big fan of diets but I tried South Beach (Phase 1) and it worked! Cutting back on carbohydrates and sugar is definitely a great eating habit.

i personally love The Firm stuff

Lose Weight with The FIRM's Exercise Videos, DVDs, and Accessories! Combine Aerobics With Weights To Burn Fat and Calories

they come out with new equipment and set of dvds to go with it all the time. i don't have the newest Wave thing but i have a set with a stepper box from about 5 years ago and still use the 4 dvds that came with it happily. their videos are a very good balance of weight training and cardio and they always have a hard ab workout thrown in there too.

i recently got Get Chisled and its my favorite workout dvd to date. you can get their videos at Chapters and all you need is hand weights if you don't want to order off the website

This is what I my doctor had recommended for me. It works wonders, by just elimiating some of the carbs and sugars from my diet, I lost about 8lbs during phase one. Currently, I am on a modified SBD and just work out with my personal trainer (FI).

Like others, I have tried the Firm and LOVED IT.. I no longer have a VCR, and they are tapes.. I tried Tae bo, um it was okay.. and my FI likes P90X. I just can work out at home, too distracted.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
