I was also worried how it'd fit because I read on here that some brides were disappointed in how it fit on their bodies.   The first place I went to had something similar but it made me look pregnant so I was pretty sad. There was one maggie I liked there.. though I don't remember the name. Here's a pic. It was beautiful but a bit too pricey and fancy for what I had in mind for my beach wedding.   ms-2.jpg   I found the RD1044 sample at the third place I went to and it looked as beautiful as I thought it would when I tried it on. It fit soo nice and soo comfortable. (and it reminds me of Sailor Moon's Princess dress...tee hee) Here's a pic!    ms-1.jpg   I found a bridal store in the US that was selling their sample for a fraction of the price and they are willing to ship it to me. They promise there's no visible stains or tears so I'm crossing my fingers! It's coming soon!

I purchase RD1044 too!  It looks beautiful on you!  The sample was too small so i didn't get the "full effect" and was a little worried, but after seeing it on you it looks stunning!

Hi there!  I'm new to the forum:)

I just bought my dress yesterday!  I actually had tried on the Maggie dress "Carmella" and thought I might get it- but wasn't crazy about the empire waist.  I have a decent body and usually wear clothing that flatters me so the "Carmella" didn't really fit my personality.  Here is me in the Carmella

Maggie Carmella

So I went back in to the shop with two more in mind- the Caprice and also SD5220 (no name) to try and to make a decision between the three. I fell in love right away with the "Caprice" dress.  It will be perfect for my St. Lucian wedding.   That's my little girl in the pic with me:)  I'm so glad I found my dress!

I agree! that dress suits you so well!

I'm sad to say the Maggie dress i dreamed of looked better on the hanger. I got lost in the dress....it over powered me.....I was looking at the Monica Marie.

Back to the drawing board for me! at least there is no shortage of options :)

Congrats on finding your dress

Thanks!

Yeah, the Carmella was gorgeous on the rack, and I didnt look awful in it...but I felt like I could've been pregnant and you wouldn't even know!  I wear figure flattering clothes day to day, my wedding dress should be no exception:)

Yes- I think so.  My hair is really thin from having battled cancer and it never coming back in right.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but we are getting married in St. Lucia and not necc right on the beach (wind factor) so I think yes to a veil.  There's something very romantic about it:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
