I am big into designers but never heard of her. I guess you have to be up to date with the whole wedding world haha. I love all the dresses you ladies posted on here and can't wait to get mine. Waiting for the store to call me to see if they can get one in ahhhh. I might have to order off of the rack and do major alterations to it. Will keep you posted
So Heather, not to pry but I am curious....which dress are you interested in? Do you know the name of the style? I'd just like to see which dress captured your attention, since there are sooooo many to choose from!
Oh, and I will also admit that I wasn't 100% sure who Maggie Sottero was until I started looking through bridal mags a few months after I got engaged, and saw some ads depicting how beautiful her work is. Then, when I joined BDW, and read rave reviews from other Maggie brides, I thought, "Hmmn, there might really be something to these dresses!" One other thing that puts Maggie Sottero dresses into a class of their own is the incredible quality of materials and construction for still very reasonable prices. My mom told me when I had my Sottero & Midgley gown on the day that we bought it that she thought it looked better than the $5-10K+ gowns you see on shows like "Say Yes To the Dress" on TLC, and my dress with all the bells and whistles was a fraction of that cost!
The public in general may not recognize her name as easily as Vera Wang or Monique Lhuillier when it comes to bridal fashion, but Maggie is in the business of making luxury and sophistication affordable to the more averaged-income brides, and for that, she truly shines as a designer. Long live the Sottero name, I say!
Hope my explanation helped to let you know at least how I feel about what she represents!)
I HEART MAGGIE SOTTERO and Sottero & Midgley gowns!
