I am sure your dress will come in time :)

I was worried about mine becasue I was told Feb. and our wedding was Feb 20. So not a lot of time for altertaions. Then they told me it was shipped and it wasn't..opps. So they "rushed" it from Toronto and I had it a week later. smile03.gif

I swear, I'm goin' nuts trying to find a local shop with a sample of Phillipa. The one I went to for my first round of try on's says they just sold it a couple of months ago...my question is, what the hell? lol Why don't they make arrangements to immediately purchase another sample? Makes no sense to me.....argh!

Gorgeous dresses ladies!

I went into the bridal shop last week to order my bridesmaids dresses and decided to try on the sample of my Maggie dress (Melena) while we were there....I still LOVE it and can't wait until mine comes in! When I ordered it in February, the salesperson told me that it would be sent for August...however, when I was there last week, I was told July. Either way...I just want it to be here already!

I'm just lovin' everyone's Maggie's!

well i'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who purchased two dresses...but I got them for an unbelievable deal.

I paid $250 for the Capri & $300 for the Topaz. I was invited to a sales sample sale. can you believe it? they are both Maggie dresses. I've decided to go with Capri. It is ivory with blush accent. The topaz is diamond white....now I just need to sell Topaz but I'm afraid that I may change my mind!!

Topaz - by Maggie Sottero

Capri - by Maggie Sottero

These were the first & only two dresses which I tried on & absolutely loved the Capri so I think I'll stick with it.

Do you ladies plan to wear the panel underneath the corset OR plan to lace up & expose your back?

I too, will be a Maggie bride (Winnie). Second marriage for me so I purchased mine in ivory. It is due to arrive in June. I looked into the option of purchasing online, too, but I don't think it's worth the worry. If it doesn't fit right, you are out of luck. I'd vote for the local bridal salon instead.

Personally, yes, I'm going to wear the panel; why wouldn't you want to wear it?

it hadn't crossed my mind until one of the other BDW brides sent pictures from her wedding & the back of the dress looks absolutely beautiful without the panel underneath. It makes the dress look a lot more beach-like & relaxed. She's too adorable! Please check out the link below to take a look.

Hey there,

I plan to get rid of the panel and have an open back. I have seen this many times in pictures and just love it. It does give it a bit more of a beachy look! The seamstress at the bridal salon I purchased my dress at says that she can even give it more of an open back if I wanted. Apparently she gets this request a lot! Either way, panel or no panel...Maggie dresses ROCK!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
