All Maggie Sottero brides post here

Hi everyone!  I posted back in Feb when I found my dress - but the sample was a size 12 so it hung on me even with clips.  My Caprice dress came in yesterday!  I brought jewelry and kinda did my hair to give me a good idea of how I will look.  I am so happy with it!  I need to hem it slightly and shorten the back t-bar strap, and I am still debating changing the neckline to a sweetheart but I am not sure.  Anyways, here it is!

It looks great!! I'm thinking of altering my neckline to a sweetheart as well. The Caprice and the billie is the same dress except for the differences in the material and the neckline. I LOVE how the dress looks with the sweetheart neckline. Therefore, I think I will be making the changes. If you decide to change it to a sweetheart neckline, please post! I would love to see the end result. Happy Planning :)

After endless hours of looking at gowns online I have fallen in love with with a Maggie Sottero.  Its from the Destinations collection, style SD5230...sadly it doesn't have a pretty style name like many of the others.  I contacted the bridal boutique in my area and they do not have that style in the store but said they had gowns that fitted similiar.  They also mentioned they could look into the company sending a loaner for me to try on...and I would have to pay the shipping.

I planned on dress shopping this September and I'm not a 100% sure I would even look good in this style. Have any other brides faced this dilemma?

  • 1 year later...

So I was a Maggie Sottero bride. I bought Chelsa back in July, paid in full and the order has been submitted so they're currently making it for me. Since then I decided I wanted something totally different and I recently bought a Jim Hjelm at a huge discount, which leaves me with two dresses. The Maggie won't be in until early December but if anyone is interested in buying it around then let me know! (Does not include the sash or the bolero in the pics below)

It's a size 14 (street size 10) and I purchased it for $1500 so I'm hoping to sell it for $1000.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
