I think I know what dress your talking about. Maybe the Billie? I took a look at her new collection and it looks like she added the t strap to a lot of her gowns. It's popular now. I also was thinking about the Reese, (like the Caprice, with the open front) http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3240  but I thought it was more cocktail. But I have seen some brides in it and it looked wonderful. I think it's more for an evening wedding though. Just my thoughts.

I think I may have found my shoes! I was looking for something with a lot of bling, sort of cinderella-ish so these Jimmy Choos were one I looked at...http://coolspotters.com/shoes/jimmy-choo-quinze-sandal. I saw it on some sites for. I also saw it online

They also have a newer version.. http://www.jimmychoo.com/sandals/zafira/invt/015zafirasue/

I also fell in love with several Loubotins from their bridal too.. http://us.christianlouboutin.com/bridal.html

Shoes are hard, I guess I will fig it out as I get closer. I like the colorful shoe idea too..but I don't think I'm going that route..only thing I know I want is a very sexy/ blingy shoe, 3 in plus. bride.gif

Maggie sottero has a dress very much similar to the caprice, however, the only difference is that it's a taffeta material, has a sweetheart neckline and it's more fitted to the body. I don't recall the name. I still LOVE my caprice more!! YES... I'm extremely excited!! I can't wait till I try on my dress when it comes in. As far as my veil... I got lucky. My bestfriend who is also my MOH is lending me her Veil. That'll be my something borrowed. It's gorgeous!! LOL I Haven't bought any shoes as of yet. Thinking I may indulge in a pair of Christian Loubotins!! Going to keep an eye out for a nice pair at the Neiman Marcus outlet. You can score a nice pair for as low as $400. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! LOL Have you found any shoes?

Yes, It's the BILLIE!! It's gorgeous. It's the same as the caprice except the chest and the material. I love the sweetheart neck and will add it to my caprice.  I've noticed that T straps is very trendy now. I think it's perfect for destination wedding dresses. I agree, the reese is too cocktailish. It's a cute dress but I wouldn't feel like a bride in it. Just my opinion. I love your shoe choices. My favorite louboutin shoe choice is very riche. Fabulous shoes!! Problem is if i'm going to purchase expensive shoes, I would like something more practical so I can get use out of them. I'm still debating whether or not i'm going with blue or pink shoes because they POP out against the dress or just go with a white or Ivory shoe. Hmmm..... Desicions, Decisions LOL

Hi Ladies -

So I went dress shopping for the first time the other day with a mindset that I would be buying a dress that is lace.. needless to say, I did the opposite and bought the Adorae by Sottero and Midgley.  http://www.sotteroandmidgley.com/dress.aspx?keywordText=adorae&keywordType=any&page=0&pageSize=15&style=JSM1307

Its supposed to be coming in April.. I ordered it from a boutique in Massachusetts when I went dress shopping with family (born & raised, but now living in AL because my fiance is in the military). I won't get to try it on until May..but it'll be worth the wait :)

Ok, girls, what gives?  Am I the only one to find all Maggie gowns super uncomfortable?  I went dress shopping for the first time today with high hopes, wanting to try a bunch of Maggie Sotteros in particular.  I found them all too uncomfortable, is it just me?  I'm waiting for my friend to send me the pics, and then I'll post, but so far the Anniston and Jill made it onto my short list. Sharon was pretty too, gave me an amazing silhouette, but I'm just not crazy about the design.  I also tried Anastasia (didn't do anything for my figure), Michelle (waaay too heavy for the beach), SD5220 (very blah in person).

I ended up trying on some Mori Lees afterwards, and I found those more comfortable, not as much corseting but still keeps my tummy in.  I feel like I'm so far from finding my dress, even though I tried on like 20 today.

Ok, here are my top choices. I tried on about 20 dresses, and the tops turned out to be Maggies based on looks - Jill, Anniston and Sharon. I think I will be a very indecisive bride, I'm just not in love with any of them, especially because I can't imagine spending 12 hours wearing any one of them :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
