All Maggie Sottero brides post here

Recommended Posts

alright ladies. I just became a 3 dress bride. My first dress is a Sophia Tolli (Ashley). I don't think my second dress is a name brand. Its my trash the dress. Anyways, I went to a bridal show on the weekend and saw Libby by Maggie on the rack and I tried it on for fun and absolutely fell in love with it. I decided to wear it to get married in and I will wear my Sophia Tolli for my AHR.

I'm a Maggie bride too now. I went shopping today "just to look" as my wedding is only in 15 months. Of course what I feared would happen, happened. I fell in love with a Maggie dress (not surprising since I love their entire Destination collection from their online catalogue!).

I'm thinking it may be a 2009 model because I can't find it on their website. I did find it somewhere else online, but sorry for the crappy quality of the picture (didn't have my camera). Style is JD8103

OH, RonNMel -- your gown is so glamorous!!

VERY 'Night at the Oscars', if you know what I mean (I could see a celebrity totally rockin' something like that on the red carpet, in white or even another really beautiful color). Who knows; maybe if you felt like wearing it again after your wedding, you could have it dyed another color and wear it to another formal event?! It's just the kind of dress that is perfect to do that! Just a suggestion...

Anyway, if you have any pics of yourself in the gown, please post away! I'd love to see it on a real bride, and I'm sure you look just stunning! wink.gif

I am a big fan of Maggie Sottero designs. I have a few that I am interested in: Anniston, Melissa Bouquet, RD1044 and the Vonda. On the Melissa, I can do without some of the floral embellishments. On the RD1044, I can do without the floral embellishment around the waist, but I love the over-the-shoulder embellishment. I would like to have the Vonda in Ivory. If anyone has worn either of the dresses, I would love to hear your input regarding cost, fit and whether they are easily transported.

I LOVE maggie! I knew from the moment I saw this gown [Reese] on a model at a bridal show that it was going to be mine! It took me foreverrrr to actually find it in a store to try it on! when I did I was beyond thrilled! I ordered it in November, should be here March 1st! I cant wait! Cheers to all my fellow Maggie Brides!shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
