WOW $140 for that dress is unbelievable!!! Yeah it needs some alterations (that maybe are going to cost more than the dress hahahah) but I think it looks GREAT on you..

I'm sorry I missed it but where can I see the 'real thing'?

I think it will look great once alterations are done so it's more form-fitting on the top. I'll be honest tho---- I don't like the tulle, regardless of color, and I think it's because it doesn't seem to "flow" with the dress. I didn't see a sash of tulle that would cause some to drape down like it does on the dress. So when I look at it, it's like the tulle just sprouts out of nowhere for no reason. And since I can't see the fabric of the dress under the tulle, it seems like it's awkward...

          OK, here's my opinion:

-I love the waist line detail, the gathering is extremely flattering.
-The top part seems a little too big for you, maybe. If it were me I would have the halter straps narrowed a bit to match your proportions.
-I think I would take the tulle of the side too.

Overall, I think you got a fantastic deal! And with the proper alterations this could be a great dress.

NOW, how do you feel about the dress??

Wow.. I think you got a pretty good deal on that for $70! I think it looks nice on you as well, is it too big on the top?

Wow! I really think you got a bargain, and it's a beautiful gown. You really do look nice in it.... Can't wait to see it after the alterations.

Thanks for all the kind words and honest opinions. My mom has a great seamstress who can probably work wonders with the problem areas (which I agree with all of you on...top and tulle).
We'll see. If I can make it work, it'll have been a great deal, and something I won't mind jumping in the ocean in on July 8th!
Thanks again for everyone's opinion. It's weird how I've never met any of you but it does mean a lot.
