Yuan runs the ETSY store she has quoted me $220USD +$30 shipping for my custom dress. This is my second dress for my Trash the Dress Photo shoot. We are doing the underwater in the Cenotes so I wanted something flowy..

I have combined two dresses together. First photo will be the bodice with teh ribbon and flower. The second and third photos will be the bottom half (no brown ribbon):

Thoughts? Advise? Changes?

Any feed back is appreciated.

I think you dress combo idea is cool. I have never heard of this seller and I am not sure if they are featured in this forum, but I hope it turns out great. Have you tried some of the other "cheaper" Chinese knockoffs that are mentioned in here like babyonline (DH GATE) and Dressilyme?  They are pretty well-reviewed here.

I have looked at babyonline but didnt really see anything that fit the bill. I almost ordered from Dressilyme but again the dresses werent exactly what i was looking for. Do either of those sites make custom dresses for you? Or just what they have available in their stores?

Yeah I was going to say, they both specialize in customizing dresses. Those dresses are just samples of what they do, that's not representative of all they have available.

Yeah! From what I've read on this thread, you can send Dressilyme photos of the dress you want and they'll decide if they can make it for you and if they can, they'll send you a quote. I also sent them photos of the dress I wanted, but when they replied to me I already bought the dress from babyonline.

I heard back from Dressilyme. They said they cannot put two dresses together! They require one dress to copy. Oh well. I think i am going to risk it with Wonderxue from Etsy. Worst case if it doesnt fit or i dont like it i can always wear my real dress. I will keep you all posted how it goes!

Lisa from Jasmines sent more progress photos of my dress with the lace application (now they will apply the beading and buttons) and what a difference the revisions I asked for made!  It has the shape! I am happy with the progress so far!

Wow, this is turning out beautifully.  You're going to look fantastic! Do you mind if I ask what grades you went with for fabric and craftsmanship?

just premium grade for both craftsmanship and fabrics. I didn't do any upgrades.

I ordered 2 dresses...one is the wedding dress from LandyBridal and the other is a dress for cutting the cake from Jasmine's....What do you think?

1st Dress (The differences I noticed were the size and location of the belt, the neckline, and the buttons extending past the waist in the back. They said I will need to wear a petticoat if I want a fuller look).

                    Inspiration:

                    Lazaro Style 3250

                    Thanks for looking!
