JoanneIreland - I think that if you put a blingy brooch on your belt it would look really nice!

has relatively inexpensive but elegeant looking appliques.  I'll probably be buying the satin, chiffon, or ribbon myself and either hand sewing or gluing the applique on.

Don't spend so much mony on the belt.  They've become popular and they are really easy to make.  Just get the right applique and hand sew or glue on.

So my dress showed up today and it would be great but....It's totally the wrong size.  The bust is 26", waist is 24", and hips are 32".  It was supposed to be 35" bust and 26" waist with lace up back and 38".  I can't even try it on@  6 inches in the hips is a HUGE difference.  They keep asking me what size I wanted but I just went off of their size chart that they had listed.  All in all the quality is good but I'd have to cut my left leg off from the hip to even try it on!

HI ladies! here is the dress I posted a few months ago "in action". as you'll see it's not 100% identical to the inspiration dress, but I never expected it would be...I have NO complaints! It was done by Gianinar and it took just a little over one month. I'm attaching the inspiration dress and then some pics from the wedding... these are the only ones I have right now, and most of them have my flowers blocking the dress, but at least it gives you an idea... :)

That sucks big time!  This is what I am afraid of when considering ordering overseas.  Will they redo it for you?  Also I noticed you have MANY wedding dates.  Just curious, whats up with that? Vow renewal?

your dress looks great and you look great in it.  Did you need to do any adjustments when it arrived

I know...I had the same problem with One-Stopos. I wanted to send it back for alterations but they refused to pay shipping. Shipping (as with any service cost eg alterations etc) costs alot of money- with that money I might've as well made another dress. Their terms and conditions said that they'd pay the shipping- but really they would only pay one way shipping from China to back where you are. Hopefully babyonline would be nicer and pay for the return shipping cost

If that fails, I'd go for reimbursement for local alteration costs--- have you brought it to a seamstress for a quote yet? And then scan/email the quote and tell them how much it'd cost....I imagine it'd be over and above the maximum they'd want to pay, but at least you'd recover some of the cost.

And then either 1. get it let out by seamstress. 2. try a different gown-maker (jasmine's or dressilyme sounds good to me).
