Just got my knockoff TTD dress from DHgate.com, seller babyonline.  Dress came out just like the picture.  The material they used was a heavier than the original, but it was still good quality.  The beading was stunning and it fit perfect.  I would definitely order from them again.

Pics please! I am happy to hear that TTD meets your expectations!

Skygirl,

I wrote all these info in my planning journal thread

The starfishs, I bought them on Esty, and the flowers were real pink peonies and ranunculus with green berries from Marvin in Cancun.

Hi Girls,

I'm new to the site (today) and I'm getting married at The Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico on September 5, 2011.  I recently ordered a dress through www.dress-pretty.com because I could not possibly wait the six months it would have taken to order my Maggie Soterro dress.  When I logged on to dress-pretty, I was told that I could pay to have the dress rushed to me in 15 days.  I was so happy...UNTIL...I received an email from a similar website saying:

Dear Customer,

Hi, The dress you bought on the site of www.dress-pretty.com or www.van-sell.com is indeed a scam. Because they have copied our site: http://www.bayliy.com---using phishing software and Trojan programs to fraud buyers' credit card money and paypal funds, and they never send out the product or they send their low quality product to you. If you have paid on website-- www.dress-pretty.com / www.van-sell.com, or you have paid to the paypal account:-- shine.rose@yahoo.cn / topstanding@live.com. Some other customers have been take back their money through complaint with paypal, so please contact the paypal or Credit Card Safety Center to take your money back as soon as possible.

ʉۢ You must be pay more attention that our sites are French site: www.robesfr.com and the English site: www.bayliy.com, Please confirm our logo, and all photos are signed by "B-ayliy"

If you have any questions please contact me for free. My email address:

sale@bayliy.com or sale@robesfr.com. Thank you.

Serenely

                                                               Bayliy.com

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM www.dress-pretty.com!!!!

I do have a happy ending to this story.  Immediately after receiving this email, I went to the Maggie Soterra website and did a store locator search and was able to find all the retailers within a 50-mile radius.  Finally, after scheduling an appointment with The Exquisite Bride in Murrysville, PA, I was able to find my dress, Ireland!  I would have to purchase it off the floor, but the manager, Jeanie, called me back later and said that she was able to call Maggie and have the dress rushed to me and it will be here next week.  I'm so relieved!!  I love this dress, think that it's just perfect for a beach wedding and I've learned a very valuable lesson about these knock-off websites promising to have your dress to you in no time at all.

For the future, I learned that it's best to always deal with a website that has a contact person and telephone number.  Do a Better Business Bureau search on the company before sending any money.  If purchasing online, and Paypal is an option, I would use it because you can always file a dispute to get your money back if it does turn out to be a scam.

Here is my dress!!!  :)Maggie Soterro - Ireland

Good Afternoon Ladies,

After months of lurking and sifting through this amazing thread I FINALLY ordered my Reception dress through Dressilyme for my February 2012 Wedding!!! I am so excited and now hope that the next 2 months fly by so that I can see it! Since I don't want a replica per se I just asked that the train be removed and it just be made as a floor length gown since I plan to party party party LOL!

Here is the link for the actual listing on their website: http://www.dressilyme.com/wedding-apparel/exquisite-one-shoulder-satin-floristic-ruffled-wedding-dress-pd-8529/ and the below pictures are from their Flicker account.

I honestly don't even know why the original designer is which great to me because I don't have ridiculous expectations (but if someone knows who the original designer is I would love to know!). I am absolutely in love with my ceremony dress (I purchased it over a year ago), but after stumbling on this thread I knew it would be a travesty to not get a 2nd dress at such an AMAZING price! Now I just need to find my veil/veils, and other accessories. But thank you to all the members for your thoughts and input on this thread it is very helpful! I will be sure to post pictures when they send them and when I receive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
