thanks! its from our recent zoo trip. we act like unsupervised kids sometimes. this weekend we may go to the "Moonpie and RC" festival, in a rural town nearby... they even have a 10k that ends with the eating of the worlds largest moonpie. its very hilly and I don't think I want to run it in the lovely 95 degree weather we're having lately.

moonpie is a chocolate covered graham cracker and marshmallow cookie sandwich.

Sorry to go off topic.

I've kind of been lurking on here...still trying to decide if I should go with a knock off or not. Based on all the posts it sounds like you really can have a gorgeous dress made and not break the bank!
Hi ladies,
I've decided to go with gianinarbridal afterall for my dress & prayer1.gif it turns out nice.
They've asked if it's ok to make the dress 2 inches longer for the height of shoes? The shoes I will be wearing have 3.5 inch heels,so should I say yes to making it 2 inches longer or not?

Make sure you tell her your shoes are 3.5 inches. She just says 2 inches assuming your shoes are 2 inches. Then she said (at least in my email) please let me know if your shoes are taller than 2 inches. Hope this helps!

I just adore your dress!!!! It looks amazing!!! They did a great job, from the pictures everything looks good!! What material did you go with? I am thinking about having a knock-off made for a short party dress for the evening (we are getting married in Key West and after the reception we are hitting Duval St. for a fun time with our friends, I dont want to ruin my Paloma Blanca in Hogs Breath or Irish Kevins, or any of the other fine establishment there) :)

I'm so glad you said that, because I assumed by the way it's worded that they were asking if it's ok with me if they added 2 additional inches in addition to my 3.5 inch heels.
Thanks for pointing this out.

hey ladies! so it has been 3 weeks since I sent my changes on my first pictures of my dress----(see like post page 105 I think) and so I emailed ginaniar to check on my dress. She emailed me right back this morning with pictures asking if everything looked good. I am not sure if this is "finished" or she just sent me the most recent "in progress" pictures because when I first opened the pictures I was so unhappy! The front looks almost worse then the first pictures they sent me. It looks more sloppy, you can totally see the pin marks, and the rouching on the bodice looks almost invisible (espeically to the right side) and sloppy. The more I have looked at the pictures the dress has grown on me but I still feel kind of down about it : ( The back looks fab in my opinion!! But thats only half of the dress :/ My wedding is in October and I was going to use this as my main dress so I am unsure what to do next. If I keep sending changes it can just take longer and longer, and I do not want to be stuck with a dress I dislike, let alone pay the remainding $120 if I do not like it. honest thoughts girlshuh.gif? am i being too picky? sort of bummed right now : (

Here are the pictures she just sent me. The last picture is the original dress on a girl (not me), but it shows how the rouching transcends into the pick-ups the way I want it vs. how my dress looks. My dress looks like its two pieces in the picture, where the rouching stops.

I like it...it's so hard seeing it on a mannequin and not a real person. It looks like she got rid of the band that you didn't like. I think you should tell her your concerns and see what else she can do. I think it looks very pretty though..but YOU have to like it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
