I wouldn't worry just yet. Uhara is right, wedding dress can be extremely heavy and if they don't fit perfectly will definitely leave you feeling a bit frumpy...hence the mega clips they use to cinch it up to show a more streamlined and accurate fit. if it weren't for this no bride would ever feel beautiful in a wedding dress. I honestly think the fit has more to do with you doubt than choosing the wrong dress. The dress is beautiful and is cut almost exactly like the Maggie Sottero Adorae and I have never seen anyone look bad in that silhouette. Fear not just find a trustworthy seamstress and you will have the "it's the one" bridal moment. Keep us posted.

Donna, my friend purchased a custom made dress a couple of years ago for her wedding and freaked out a little because she was by herself when she tried it on.  I went to help her tie the corset on the dress up properly and she felt much better after that.  I'm sure once you get any adjustments you need done to the dress and get it on properly... I'm sure you feel so much better about it.  It looks like they did a great job replicating the dress at least!

Donna, your dress is gorgeous! I wouldn't worry about it just yet either I think once you get it taken in and add the sash it won't look frumpy at all.

p.s. I never go that "its the one" feeling, so don't feel left out lol.

Hey Donna!

I think that being able to zip the dress up all the way will make a HUGE difference. Try to get a friend over to help you with it, and then see how you feel. You can also look for a tailor in your area, though I know it's much harder to do things like that here in Korea.

Don't worry... it will look MUCH better when it's fully done up in the back. :)

Hi everyone!!  Sorry, don't worry - I didn't throw myself off a bridge or anything!! hahaha  Thank you ALL for your kind words - i have definitely stopped freaking out... But I do love this place for that - venting helps!  I still haven't been able to try my dress on properly - May be another week until I get the chance... I've made a plan with one of my bridesmaids and a friend to come over - and kick the FI out and we will try it again...  I think you are all right about the sash... and of course the altering - the tighter the better!! haha  I will keep you updated - I will take photos and post them on the spot!!  Thanks again!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
