So question, I've been looking at the Reem Acra dresses (what the hell am I thinking you ask.. trouble, I answer).  So when I go on Jasmine Bridal I can,t find anything through the search.  Do any of you gals know if anyone does knock offs of Reem Acra?  Any other alternatives?

Thanks ladies! :)

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of ordering this dress by Impression Bridal through Jasmine's Bridal. I am thinking of using a designer grade fabric, but unsure about using designer grade craftsmanship. I am getting a quote soon.

Can someone let me know of their experience in using premium/designer grade fabric and craftsmanship by Jasmin's Bridal?

Also, this fabric is supposed to  be chiffon, but when I tried it on, it felt more like silk (it's quite thick, dense and heavy, but very soft). I dont' know how to describe that to them, has anyone had chiffon fabric that is not light and fluffy like the one I tried on in this dress?

Thanks!

Hi Kittyinheels, I haven't received my dress yet so I can't really comment on the quality of the fabric. However I have upgraded the materials to designer quality due to the fact that I could def tell the difference between designer vs premium in pictures. My dress is made of tulle and organza and Candy sent me lots of pictures of designer vs premium grade materials. The premium grade looked a lot heavier, stiffer and shinier than the designer grade and that's because it's mainly polyster. Comparatively the designer grade looked a lot softer and lighter due to its partial silk make up. So my opinion is upgrade the materials to designer. With regards to craftmanship, I think you can leave it at premium grade. They will keep working at the dress until you're happy with it.

Thanks xbubbix!

Just for peace of mind, I ordered with both designer grade fabric and craftsmanship. They quoted me $620 including the shipping. Shipping cost a bit, doesn't it? But the original I tried on at the shop was $2500, and this is before getting rid of the train, etc. I will keep posting how things go with Jasmine's Bridal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
