wow, these dresses are beautiful!  I am waiting for all the RSVPs to come in, so I am sort of procrastinating lately.  BTW, the Vera Wang White collection looks gorgeous, and at $600-$1400 is pretty affordable.  Too bad that my wedding is in July, and the TO store opens only in March...Dunno if I will have sufficient time to order.

I am still shopping for a dress for the moms, and my MIL is in the process of losing some weight....errr...so yeah..I am pushing everything to April! lol

magirl, please let me know how your dress turns out-- I'm looking at lace dresses but am hesitant to purchase a knock off (even though it's all I can afford.)  I'm looking for a dress very similar to yours so keep me posted!  Who are you buying from and did you request samples of their lace?

I am ordering my dress off ebay as well as my BM dresses and my Mom's dress - they are giving us a HUGE discount which is awesome and I know they do good quality because I ordered a "try it out" dress just to see what I would be getting and I LOVE it!

I love this option because BMs can choose their own style and still have it made to fit them but I can keep the fabric and colour the same - all for less than half price of going through a bridal shop (BM dresses are going to be about $65 each including shipping!)

I went to Davids Bridal today to try on various styles to decide which style of dress fit me best. I had in mind that I'd only try on some dresses to decide whether I'd get an A line, ball gown, or mermaid. Then I came across the Vera Wang collection and fell in love! Its $1200 which is definitely affordable but more than what I wanted to spend. The style number is 351011. Its a fit and flare strapless organza gown with ruffles. Definitely not what I was going for but I loved it!!!! Now Im wondering if I should just buy it at DB or take a chance and order it online. I don't mind if its 90% similar, but I do want the fabric to be the same and the ruffles to be close. I'd be disappointed if they got the overall look of it wrong. Don't know what to do. I tried uploading a pic it Im on my phone and its not working well for me. I'll upload pics if I can.

That's what I was afraid of - I looked on ebay for sellers with high ratings and chose one that had a 99% rating then I sent them a picture of the dress I liked and they said no problem!  I figured since it was only about $150 including shipping, I could use it for the TTD pics instead!  Turns out the dress is gorgeous though...

That's great! Would you mind sharing who the seller is? I've been searching for bridesmaid dresses but I don't want them to be super expensive. Did you ask for a discount or did they offer it?

I used Topspartner, and they had a dhgate site as well as their regular site.

I will post my review ut I won't get it until April!I did ask her to send pics of the lace, and she sent me a few. They aren't anything unique so I decided to find a lace dress that focuses more on the style than the lace. I had fallen in love with a few Pronovias ones but decided what I loved about them was the lace, and Topsparner would have nothing close as the lace is specific to Pronovias.

so ladies i have been reading through tons of these threads. just a good topic. so the reason for my interest is for my bridesmaids. I already have my wedding gown. i tried babyonline recently and paid $30 for them to ship me fabric swatch samples before i order the dresses. Well its been literally over 2 weeks! they said they sent the package but when i called USPS and provided the tracking number, the rep told me the package was scanned in their warehouse but has never left. Babyonline swears they sent it and that its delayed because of the new year, but really?? if it was sent then why doesnt it show in transport status for USPS? just seems fishy to me. 2 weeks for some fabric samples? i really want to trust them, but this is not starting off good. has anyone else ordered BM dresses from babyonline and encountered issues?

anyone order BM dresses from a china seller?... and if so, please post pics. I really want this bari jay dress for my BMs. bmaid dress.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
