Hi, i order my dress from dresillyme a month ago. It came this morning and i'm pretty happy with the result. This is the pictures from the web, dress design originally from Essense of Australia.

Ok because I had such a hard time finding info on buying a Chinese knock off I want to post a detailed review. This dress is gorgeous. Really well made. Great details, there are little beading details

Okay ladies, got it on, and it fits perfectly! Maybe needs a little tweaking around the bust...but nothing really! I will attach a few pictures of it, don't mind my lovely hair do!!

Ok because I had such a hard time finding info on buying a Chinese knock off I want to post a detailed review. This dress is gorgeous. Really well made. Great details, there are little beading details that are very well done. The ruching is lovely. The fabric is really soft and pretty. I paid $200 including rush shipping and processing for a custom made wedding dress. There's a ribbed bodice, nice satin inner lining, beautiful chiffon outer layer. And it's exactly what I ordered. The waist could be taken in a bit but that's because I mismeasured my natural waist (took it too low and therefore the number was larger) and I meant to tell them to remove the train but I forgot. But they made exactly what I ordered and did an excellent job of copying the original. Honestly, it fits wonderfully and really doesn't need any alterations just that one little 1/2 inch or so! Best purchase I've ever made! Couldn't love it more.

 

 

They were super responsive when I asked them to remove the sequins, always answering my emails promptly. I could not recommend dressilyme.com more for a wedding dress. Not sure about bigger poofy ones but for this fairly simple sheath one I couldn't have done better. The quality is way better than most of the dresses I tried on at David's Bridal.

I'm new here on this forum. I am getting married in May 2015 but still have to find a dress! Because of time  (purchasing one here in Europe in bridal stores takes about 3-4 months to get it...) and budget constraints (well, you only wear it just once & I would rather spend more on the honeymoon than on the dress) I was leaning towards ordering one online... I found one I like on lightinthebox.com (http://www.lightinthebox.com/nl/MADISEN---Trouwjurk-van-Satijn_p80720.html). There are quite a lot of 'real' pictures on the website from brides who have posted their pictures. I would have it custom made to my measurements plus it has the lace-up in the back which should ensure it to fit nicely even if the size isn't perfect.

 

I have never really ordered clothes online before though and especially for a wedding dress I do have some reservations... Does anyone have experience with this website at all?

 

It is really cheap for a wedding dress but if this does not work out, I really wont have any time left to go find something else...

 

Any advice/thoughts/ideas you girls have to share would be very much appreciated!

I looked at this site as well. I would go ahead and take the chance and order it. As you said, there are many good reviews with actual photos so your chances of getting something you're happy with is pretty good. I ended up ordering a dress from a Chinese dress maker through Etsy. Instead of using designer photos they post their own designs. I was pleased with that because I was looking at photos of their acutal work. That plus almost 300 5-star reviews gave me confidence. I just placed my order on Monday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Who did you use from Etsy?  I'm leaning towards Misdress.

Misdress was in the running and I had many communications with them but ultimately ordering from Mermaid bridal. I am ordering 2 dresses from Misdress for my daughters though. Misdress has many excellent reviews as well.

 

I see we have the same date! Congrats date twin. :)

You're welcome. FYI, China will be shut down for a  month beginning in a couple of weeks for Chinese New Year so your production time will be extended by that long. Don't wait too long to get your order in. Come back and post what you decide to go with!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
