Lol. So sorry about that...I have been up and about (We were hit by a flood) and just checked on here now.

Ok. First off, I reduced my measurement by an inch when sending it out (as motivation to lose weight...turned out I wasnt motivated enough sad.gif) So I couldnt zip up the dress.

Well I finally lost a lil and my sister with the help of another friend were able to zip me up...whew.

I took a few pictures but they are pretty dark and I was using my phone so they are not so clear...but here goes all the same.

This last pic shows the spot where its too tight...you can see the zipper doesnt quite overlap at the empire line (the beaded region). Seriously working on the weight now smile72.gif

The dress fits like a glove (albeit a bit snug...still working on the weight).

It has built in cups so I wont have to wear a bra.

Beading is lovely (Ignore the poor quality pictures...I'll have to try it on again when I have company and take better pictures).

So that's that.

Wedding is just 26days away so I can breath a sigh of relief that the dress is all sorted out...now to the shoe msncry.gif (The ones I ordered turned up too small). Oh well...

I have combined two dresses together. First photo will be the bodice with teh ribbon and flower. The second and third photos will be the bottom half (no brown ribbon):

Thoughts? Advise? Changes?

Any feed back is appreciated.

I love that bodice...I think it'll look really great.

What fabric would you be using though...Just looking at the flow of the skirt...the wrong fabric may give a slightly different feel to it.

Eek - I know its going to be a bit later then the date that I originally gave them, but I left a 2 month window open there... I guess I will get one more set of pics once the beading on the dress is finished?  Sooooo, should be almost there!  Make sure you post your pics when you get some!

@Bondgirl - thanks for the advice... I haven't even thought jewelry yet... I have a feeling the FI is thinking of getting me some earrings as a gift... I should look into a necklace...

AND @KoralK - Don't leave us hanging!!

So sorry everyone for leaving you hanging for so long...hope I am forgiven...We've had massive flooding in my country...sad.gif

Using Organza. That is what the skirt pic was made out of! Hope it turns out!

Now, I ordered a Duarte dress (La Sposa) in Diamond white from Jasmine's bridal shop..

I have few concerns regarding my mid production photos.

1) The color: I think it's a bit darker than the color I wanted but I know that computer screens lie about colors. Also I know that they don't use flash when taking photos, that way they show more details. but I'll ask Lisa about that to be sure.

2) Layers: I think the skirt in the original dress had more tulle layers between the top layer ( that contains lace) and the lining. I can't see the seems of the lining in the original while I see them clearly in the replica.

3) Lace arrangement on the top: In the replica, it doesn't have that nice circular arrangement on the top as the original, it seems more random to me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
