1. The sweetheart neckline is more rounded in yours

2. The ruching is a little more prominent in yours (i.e left bust)

3. Will you be wearing an underskirt? This may make the bottom a little more full

4. The corset back seems a little short (this is more of a practical issue). Are they putting in a zipper also?

Wow, Thank you SOOOO much for your help - You have NO IDEA!! I totally see what you are saying...  Do you think at this point they can adjust the neckline?  I don't really understand about the rouching... like it stands out more?

I think they mentioned an underskirt... Didn't really think about that - so, yeah that would make it sit much nicer...

In the photos off of the Maggie Soterro website, the dress had only a half corset, with a zipper... I just told them to make it the same.  I want to have skin under the lace, but didn't want my butt showing! haha

Thanks for taking the time to help out a fellow bride! Really appreciate it!

I'm pretty sure that every dress ordered from Jasmine;s comes with a free garment bag with their logo on it. If you want a garmet bag without the logo, then you will have to pay extra.

I asked them to adjust the neckline on my dress 3 times before I was happy with it so I'm certain they can do it for you.

In terms of the rouching, what I mean to say is that the folds are a little thicker on yours so it does stand out a bit more. I think it's a non-issue really as it looks awesome as is. Just a minor difference to the original.

Good call on the half corset, half zipper. I once saw a girl who did the full corset back without the modesty panel and you could see her underwear sticking out :S

gemma dress that I ordered through Jasmine's bridal.

Please let me know your thoughts and whether you think there are any changes / requests that I need to let them know about. Their customer service has so far been fab. Be as honest as you like here really. Is anything slightly off? I am not a seamstress so not entirely sure of what adjustments to make. Is the alignment ok? Is the bust area alright? I want to make sure there is a modest amount of cleavage showing. i.e I dont want the top of the dress to completely cover the entire breast area...if that makes sense. You know when you wrap a towel around your body and you totally cover the bust area with a towel....well I dont want the top bit that covered! I want a hint of bosom/cleavage so that it stays sexy elegant...but nothing too over the top. Do you think this neckline will do that?

Anyway, thoughts/observations please ladies!

I am quite pleased I have to say! They still haven't finished as they have some work to do on the skirt, the back etc. But so far it looks good I think. Please shout if you notice even the tiniest little thing that should be corrected though. :-)

I think you do need the underskirt for the dress now that I look at it. Did you get that?

Also I was also just thinking about the garment bag for travel.  I may order an additional one from Ebay or something depending on the one I get from Jasmine's.  But I got the free one with the logo on it.  I also want to prevent my fiance from catching a peek of the dress and don't want a see-through bag!

Yes, your dress from Jasmines will come with a garment bag, but it won't hide the dress. The front of it is sheer. The garment bag is also made where it can fold in half (and it zips) so you can carry things in it.

When I carried my dress on the plane with me, I opted not to use the garment bag from Jasmines because my FI (at the time) hadn't seen the dress and I didn't want him to. But the bag was great for transporting the dress back home because I hung it up in the bag, folded the bag in half and zipped it. (It even has two handles on it)

Hope that helps.

So what did you use to transport it to your wedding BEFORE your FI saw it? What garment bag did you use?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
