I have a question about how Jasmine's bridal shop pack and ship the dress, which hopefully you can help me with. It's hard to tell from the pics but I'm scared that the rosettes at the bottom of my dress will look limp from the way they tightly pack the dresses into bags.

Did the rosettes on the bottom of the dress get squished or is it still volumous?

Much appreciated if any other ladies who have ordered fuller skirts can provide me with their experiences.

My dress was packed very tightly, but remember, once you unpack the dress, the rosettes you are speaking of are fabric, they won't stay smushed forever. By the time you get the dress out of the bag, try it on, let it hang until you leave, etc. they will certainly be fluffed out by then. If by some miracle that they aren't, just hang your dress in the bathroom the morning of and run a hot steaming shower and the steam will surely fluff the fabric out (will also knock any wrinkles out of the dress as well).

Hope that helps.

My big sister get married last month, she wanted to have her own wedding dresses, but she was lack of budget, so she bought her wedding dress online oversea from China. The most thing we concerned is the quality, but we read the reviews and the price is really attractive. So we decided to give a shoot, and you know what, it turned out to be great. The quality is really good. The dress is reaaly charming. I think you can try it.

I always thought that choosing the veil would be the easy part!

I originally ordered a single tier chapel length raw edge circular veil in their standard width. But FH is really set on doing the lifting of the veil, which means I need a blusher. I asked Candy if I could order a detachable blusher, which she said yes. She said the blusher will attach to the longer veil by a set of hidden buttons, which doesn't sound too bad. No mention of whether it actually comes with a comb.

Also, after spending the whole day googling veils, I'm starting to think that their standard width is too narrow. Candy wrote me an email saying that I can increase it to a max of 3metres.

So I think I might go for a Chelsea Clinton style veil and customise the sizes to:

108 inches wide

108 inch long bottom tier and

38 inch top tier blusher:

108 inches - The Chelsea veil - 2 tier cathedral circular/drop wedding veil, bridal veil with blusher

Hello Ladies, just got the second set of pics from Jasmines and the dress is perfect nowwoot.gif...I am asking them to proceed with the finishing touches. Expected Arrival date is October 1st. Super excited to see it live. (I posted pics of the first set of pics on page 471 or 472 but I think it got lost in the crowd cos it took a couple of days to get approval).

Will post pics shortly if anyone is interested

Yes I think I must have missed the mid production pics because I was sure waiting on them. (I just went back to take a look at them though).

I bet they were surprised to see someone send them very detailed changes like that (exact inches, etc.) Your seamstress is on it!

I think Jasmines did a really good job of replicating the original dress and I love how flowy and drapy (if that is a wordcheesy.gif).

Can't wait to see the final pics! Glad you had a pleasant experience!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
