You're right! I can't wait. When he sent the last email, it was 2:37am there and he told me he would be putting it in the mail later on that day.

What's funny is that when I first started looking at dresses, I was originally going to get a dress with the bandage bodice and ALL the ruffles on the skirt. I was obsessed with the flouncy ruffled skirts I kept seeing! Once I saw this dress with the sheer bodice, I knew I had to have it, but didn't want the feather skirt like the original. At the same time I thought that a full ruffled skirt would be too much, but I think this provides just the right amount of ruffles, yet not too much.

As soon as it gets here, I am going straight to my seamstress (I will probably even take it there before I take it out of the package!) to try it on so she can make any alterations that may have to be done. I'll be sure to take pics.

Hi all...

Took a while to read ALL the pages....but well worth it!

Currently awaiting pictures of my dress from GianinarBridal (They told me It would be finished 4 days ago but needed more time! :s)

My inspiration dress was the Maggie Sottero 'Nora' which i tried on in a bridal boutique and absolutely loved!

Fingers crossed I get the pictures soon and that its a decent copy!!

Here's the 'real' Nora....

Ok Ladies!  Starting to panic here!  I'm working with Gianinar Bridal.  They had great reviews earlier on in this thread.  Emailed them highly detailed pictures and sent a $150 nonrefundable deposit back on June 1st.  Told them my wedding date is August 10th, as in this Friday!  My real date is September 30th.  No dress yet and communication seems to have stopped.  Our original communication had them stating it would take 30-45 days to make the dress, then 5 days for shipping.  That put the dress mid-late July.

I sent them an email back on July 25th asking for an update on production and ETA for final pictures and shipping information.  I received an email that same day stating my dress would be finished in 3-4 days and pictures would follow.  Friday, August 3rd comes (a week later) and no pictures or email about shipping.  (remember, I said my wedding was August 10th)  So, Saturday August 4th I sent them an email asking for information because a week has passed since their last email that stated I would see pictures and I haven't heard back yet.

Yes, my wedding isn't for another 55 days, but I was hoping to have more lead time in case of alterations.  Now, with communication stopped, I am starting to really panic!

Does anyone have a contact phone number for Gianinar Bridal?  Anyone else have lousy communication right before delivery?

Thanks everyone.  Sadly, I'm starting to shop around again to make sure I have a Plan B in case my dress isn't here in time.

Hello! I've tried to reply to this a coulple of times but think it failed because of the picture? Heather, my situation is almost identical to yours! I'm with Gianinar Bridal. Paid deposit, told them my wedding was august 18th when its really September 22nd... They told me it would be 30 days and they were up last Thursday. They then says they needed an extra couple of days to finish and they would send pictures on Saturday and since then I've had no pictures and zero contact!... I'm worried and stressed! Amanda X

You both should be panicking. Yikes!!  At this point, I would work on getting the money back. Was this a seller through Ebay?  I thought they had that in the past but in any event, you should definitely get on course to get another dress made or purchased via a different company STAT!  What a nightmare. Sorry this has happened.

Just got an email from Gianinar Bridal.  They found a problem on my dress and are altering it now.  They should be done in 2 days and shipping will take 4 days.  My panic has subsided a bit.  Still looking for a Plan B, but at least they finally answered me.   Will it be here in time for my August 10th wedding date, no. (fake date)  But it should be here in plenty of time for the real date.

Amanda,  I emailed them at their hotmail address and through their ebay email address.  Maybe the double emailing got them to email me back.  It's worth a shot.  I hope our dresses get here in time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
