No probs! From the dress we received I don't think you will need to upgrade. We were also thinking about getting designer grade but figured since they have made the dress before there wasn't a need too. Fabric was pretty good too..as I mentioned in previous post, when they send you progress pics, look over them really carefully and point out anything that doesn't look right (even if it is something really small). In our first progress pics, the bust was way wrong, left side of bust was pointy and right side was rounded. We also pointed out folds that weren't sitting right etc...Jasmine's were really accommidating and fixed the problems. But having said that, we weren't overly nit picking on every little detail. I mean in the end this is a replica and you can't expect to get it exactly like the original.

I've read about 100 pages (mix of beginning and end) of this thread and have a couple of questions, if someone can answer or point me in the right direction...

The dress I want is Wtoo's Olivia (in ivory, not the oatmeal shade most brides seem to get). I found it on a couple of knock off websites. One is BigDayDress and the other is BridalDestination. I've seen one or two remarks about BDD here, but nothing about BD. Has anyone heard anything or had personal experience?

I sent an email to SOP (before reading the more recent negative reviews) asking if they could make the dress, but I believe I'll be skipping them regardless of what they say when they get back to me. I also sent an email to DressilyMe and Landy.

Is there anyone else I should get in contact with that you think could make the dress?

Here are a few pictures (from a Google image search - because the Wtoo photos are bad) if that helps

Congratulations nikknikk!

This dress looks amazing! I'm anti-bling, but love this dress on you!

I ordered standard sizing because all of the dresses i tried on in bridal shops fit perfectly. This one is slightly too tight, but I've also put on a couple pounds in the last couple weeks :~/

I was originally going to have a Dakota replica done by SOP but since I decided not to go with them...this dress called out to me instead. I was completely anti-bling the week before I ordered it, i don't know what happened! It doesn't really resemble original Lazaro design, but I love it :) For the price, it is PERFECT for my Vegas wedding! Sorry the pics aren't the greatest! I had to be a photo ninja in poor lighting so honey didn't see it!

What do you think?

I like this dress a lot better than the original! I can't tell why because other than the flower, the dresses look the same. It might just be the way the ruffles fall in the front of the dress, but congratulations!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
