Dress looks great! This might just be the angle of the picture or my eyes but the right boob looks slightly higher then the left? Also the left side of the dress around the bum area looks to be sticking out... Like it doesn't sit round and smooth ... Hope that helps... My cousin just brought a dress from jasmine too (which I will post pic up after this) ... We found that it is always good to point out anything that doesn't look right even if it is just something really small = )

For those considering ordering from Shades of Pale, let me warn you as to how they can take your money.  I thought as long as I paid through PayPal, I was safe; however, a dispute (for PayPal to get you your money back) has to be filed within 45 days of payment.  Of course, not many companies will have your dress done within 45 days.  PayPal was willing to work with me IF I could prove that the dress was supposed to be here by a certain date.  Emails are apparently too easily manipulated and wouldn't suffice.  A website would have been fine, but SoP of course doesn't have one, just Facebook.  And they didn't write an ETA on their PayPal invoice to me.

I've filed a dispute through my credit card company, who is now working WITH PayPal to a) get a refund and B) check their clientelle history on PayPal to see if they should even be selling through it anymore.  They are going after both SoP AND their bank to get a refund and I trust that the credit card company will be pretty ruthless, as THEY have refunded me and are getting money back for themselves.

I've contact SoP several times, it's weeks past the date the dress was supposed to be here, and they won't respond.  I'm not interested in dresses from them anymore, as it will be too late to wear them by the time they get here - I just want a refund.  If anyone else has had a bad experience, I encourage you to contact PayPal and report them, leave a written online review, and anything else you can.  They've scammed me and, it seems, several other people out of hundreds of dollars, not to mention royally screwed up my wedding attire plans and left me scrambling.

Ok girls here's the dress I'm obsessed with (Pronovias Dahir). Question is...dressilyme, landy's bridals or jasmine's bridal shop.

For the brides who went with dressilyme, exactly how did you get your photo over to them? I don't see an option on the website.

Dress is beautiful!   Great choice.  I love the lace on the inside.  To contact Dressily Me at customer-care@dressilyme.  I just attached as many pictures of my dress that I could.  They usually got back to me within 24 hours.

Good luck!

To bride "HAPPY FAMILY":

I could be very wrong here ... I believe I read an earlier post from a bride on this thread stating that she ordered a dress from SOP and it was sent to her in a Landy's Bridal bag. I hope I am wrong on this. However, do some extra homework because of the latest reviews on SOP. I would hate for you to get the same vendor and unhappy results.

thespill,

Even though I knew it was well past the 45 day mark and that paypal wouldn't give me a refund, I called them today anyway to hear that from their mouths. They said the same thing you said and said I should contact my credit card company, who is actually my bank, since my debit card is attached to my paypal account. The light bulb went off  (as in "Why didn't I think of that before now???") and I started dialing!

I have to be honest with you; I thought I had simply lost all hope of ever getting my $225 back. Not that I have $225 to throw away because I certainly don't, I just thought it would be a lost cause since it was too late to file a claim with paypal. In speaking to my back, I tell them the whole story about how it was supposed to be here by April 12th, then they kept sending me other emails stretching the time frame out and even asking me when the drop dead date was that I needed it. I told SOP it was June 1st and they said I would have the dress by then. My bank tells me their statute of limitations for recovery is 120 days (I paid them on 2/15) and that I am outside that time frame, but if I have the email exchanges where they say I would have it by June 1st, they would look into it and it should be a slam dunk. I just have to send the emails to my bank.  In the meantime, my bank has refunded my money!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
