My guess is that they haven't finished your dress and would rather finish it than update you. Probably not what you want to read right now.

Here are my two suggestions:

1. Call them... do you have a number for them. If not see if one of the BDW brides like Hoang who hasn't ordered her dress could get phone contact info for you.

2. You could also ask her to mention a concern that her friend has not received a response and her wedding is only 3 weeks away.

The threatened loss of a customer might get you your response. Those are the two steps I would take next in your situation.

You WILL get your dress. I was supposed to get mine in the middle of march too I just received it a few days ago. Its def. worth the wait. My wedding is May 12th but I told them it was April 5th so I could have it in time.  I received it April 3rd. 2 days berfore my "wedding". Id email them and be stern about the situation and explain that you need it. You may not get it untill a few days before the wedding. But my dress is gorgeous. its big but its gorgeous. Shades of pale did an amazing job and I would do it all over again.

Thanks for the suggestions. See2Bee512, you were smart! I should have definitely done the same. I just hope I receive it earlier than 2 days before we leave. I finally got an email from Shades of pale today, but all it said was it is almost ready. At least I heard from them though.

I got pissed off with shades of pale because I would go days at one point 2 weeks without an answer to my questions. i started talking to marie and then i talked to amilia and then agnes and then back to amilia. It was a pain. Sometimes I did get exactly to the point with them. They were on a holiday from the 1st to the 7th I think. Probably backed up with emails. Have you gotten your prodiction pictures yet?

Thank you =) The minute I saw a picture of it I fell in love. It is from 2009 so it has been discontinued that is why I am trying to get a replica made...and I don't want to spend $1000 on a dress. My wedding isn't until 2014 but I might bite the bullet and just order it ahead of time. That way I have time for any alterations if needed!

Option 1: Landy Bridals

Cost of dress is $280, made out of elastic satin with chiffon over top. There is no option for standard or high quality.

Option 2: Duosheng

Cost of standard quality for dress is $269.00 or high quality is $388.00. The dress is only made of chiffon.

I have been leaning towards Landy Bridal as they have more information on the website and I have come across a lot more reviews. I like the Landy dress because it is elastic satin layered with chiffon. Am I looking into this too much?? Can someone please give me some input as to what they would do based on these two options or advise as to what else I should be looking into. I have attached a picture of the dress from Google. Thanks ladies :)

No, I haven't received any pictures yet. That doesn't help...I feel like they just started my dress or something!

Hi Ladies!  I've paged through all the 400+ posts on this thread and have seen happy brides and not so happy brides.  I'm getting married September 30th and fell in love with an Oleg Cassini dress at David's Bridal.  However, I don't want to pay $1050 for a dress (we're saving for a house).

Has anyone dealt with DHgate.com recently?  I'm interested in using Beautydesign on dhgate.  The reviews are great and she has a 98.8% positive rating.

I want the dress in the ivory fabric with champagne embroidery and accents.

I am nervous because there is a lot of detail on the dress and many layers of tulle and organza ruffles.

Thanks for all the input.

Heather

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
