I agree, mine was supposed to be all lace but they instead used beading, and it just gives it a harsher feel. Not soft or flowy.

The dressmaker I asked to make my lace dress also put beads. At least for my dress, I think they did that to hide the fact that the lace wasn't of high quality...

Oh well, I guess if I don't like it, I can spend $400 to get Jasmines to make it the way I want (I chose the save money route initially thinking I would spend more if I needed to)...at least there are options:)  I should receive the dress today, maybe I will like it once it's on?!?!

Newbie question for you guys.  I fell in love with a Reem Acra dress "Sunset Boulevard" (you will have to google it since my last post with pictures got stuck in mod)

After I read this thread I contacted Landry, Jasmines, Gianinarbridal,  BabyOnline and almost every vendor recommended on here.  Every one except BabyOnline said "no" since it is too much detailing.  I also found the knock-off online at discount-dress.com and nissenbridal.com and shoppegowns.com

Have you ladies heard of any of these websites?  Should I take a chance with BabyOnline or just give up on the dress entirely?

Omg! I think one-stopos and babyonline are the same seller. Look at Roxy 6997's pictures and mine: the mannequin is the same! Unless they all use mannequins labelled (8 XIN LAI) One-stopos was more expensive? Maybe the seller is the same but they commision it from different factories.

I got my dress from BABYONLINE.  Overall a great experience.  I didn't like the beading/lace applique at first but it grew on me and it actually looks nice, not tacky.  TIP: if you MUST have lace, ask for it specifically, or go with one of the "more expensive" quotes such as Jasmine's where you can specify you materials.

The fit is great.  The materials seem very nice and the dress has some weight to it.  It looks well made as well.  They made it to my exact request (other than the lace).  Only thing I am going to alter is getting some cups in the chest to add some oomph (because oomph is essential for your wedding day)!!  It may be a little long as well, but I will worry about that later.

The only negative I have is that the pictures of the dress before shipping are of crappy quality, which everyone seems to have happen.  Other than that I am pleased and would recommend BABYONLINE.  If you have any questions, I can try to help.

Best wishes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
