I have heard that babyonline doesn't put the dresses on manequins when they send pictures.  I am not sure if they will do that for you.

I wanted to add that I ordered a similar dress to Brenda by Sottero & Midgley with a few changes I specified from babyonline!!  It has only been about a week and a half since I placed the order, so I am sure I will not be getting any pictures for a little bit.

 

Does anyone know what the satin quality is like from babyonline??

I am hoping it is good.  The dress is relatively simple so I think they will do a good job with it.

I purchased a dress from babyonlin about a week and a half ago!  I can't wait to get my pictures of it, but I doubt I will see anything for a few weeks.  I used Brenda by Sottero and Midgley as my inspiration dress with a few changes that I requested.

 

Does anyone know if babyonline uses good quality satin?

It is a pretty simple dress, so I am sure they will do a great job with it as long as the quality is alright.

I never did figure out who the designer is but I found someone else who can make it.  I can also get it exactly the way I want it.  So I ordered this:  In light baby blue with dress and lace being the same color.  Blue is the color Irish brides would traditionally wear and good luck and prosperity for the future.  White was actually bad luck for Irish brides!

 

I can get the lace up back I want.  I also asked to have the sash removable because I don't think I will like it anyway.  I asked and they promised it by Sept 25 to receive it.  I think that timeline is great.  I also asked about a discount or anything free and I'm getting a manila (?) veil, floor length in white for free and they took over $20 off the price.

 

I will keep you updated and let you know because I don't think anyone has ever dealt with jackson1980  from DHGate before.

Any bride used biddaydress.com?  Any suggestions? recommendations? 

 

I want to get a replica Maggie Reese dress for my TTD.  Any suggestions on who would be the best to make this dress.  The dress itself I think it simple, it's the beading that | am worried about.  I don't need it to be 100%, bit don't want the bead work to look skimpy either.  I have read through each page of this thread, and know that some place are better at certain types of dresses.  I know I would be spending a fraction of the dress's true cost (if bought "real") but don't want to loose hundreds of dollars on a gamble either. 

 

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.  I really don't know where I would be without BDW.

Communication with babyonline has been excellent up until now. I just received notification that my bridesmaid dresses have shipped. Sunny had assured me multiple times that they would not ship the dresses without photos, but I have not received any photos. I chatted with someone from the store and they apologized and told me not to worry. Ha! yeah right. I guess all I can do is hope for the best at this point. I will let you all know how they turn out.

I also received an email with my tracking number that said my dress was shipped yesterday. Babyonline had promised me pictures before they shipped my dress I did not receive any pictures and when I asked about it I just got an apology. I am now extremely nervous!!! I had them change several things from the inspiration dress and I really wanted to see pictures before shipping. I thought I would definitely have feedback after the pictures. I guess we will see once the dress comes. For now I really don't have a good feeling about it.

Hi Daizyduke, i bought my dress from bigdaydress.com. If you scroll back a few pages, you should see my dress. I'm totally happy with my dress. I suggest asking them if they created your dress before or a similar dress for another client... if they did, then at least you can see how close your dress will look to the original. Good luck!

I know how you feel. The person I chatted with said Sunny was on vacation, so that's why pics weren't sent to me. They told me not to worry and that everything will be ok. I guess I will see in a few days. The dresses I ordered had complicated ruffles around the neck, and I really wanted to see them before they shipped them out. Let's hope their version is like the original or my bridesmaids might look like they are wearing scarves or something!
