Yes.  The dress is chiffon and the color was ivory.  It is very light and flowy.  I love my gown!  cheesy.gif

It appears that your dress is made out of chiffon?  What color did you order?  the dress I am thinking of ordering is shown in Ivory and that is the shade I want but am afraid there might be a difference between the ivories and do not want it to be too dark

The bottom didn't exactly turn out like I wanted, I was hoping for more of a light material like the original picture but certainly not complaining I still love it so far.  I plan on wearing the sash towards the back so it will cover up the lace tie in the back.  I did order it a size bigger b/c i would rather it be bigger and be able to take it in...oppose to it being to tight.

what do you think about that ?

I have been trying to find a picture over the internet but since it is discountinued, can't seem to find one.

Torilynnsmith,

It depends on the original dress.  If it is an Amsale or Vera Wang, there are no comparison.  If it is a David's Bridal $99 dress, then I would say it gets very close.

Like Mocha said, the material is the key difference, also the cut as well.

I am curious to know if other brides who have gone the "knock-off" "replica" route tried their dress on before hand and how they felt the replica compared.....

Now I am second guessing myself..... haven't ordered yet though so still time to change my mind!

Thank you so much!  I am really looking to order so I just want to make sure I have everything correct so I can get the gown I really want.  so on color selection you went with 4 (ivory chiffon) on the online order sheet?

sorry just want to make sure because your dress looks amaizing and I hope mine will turn out with the same positive outcome!

I don't think the fact that the dress is discontinued or out of a new collection should matter!  If you love the dress and are ready to stop looking get the dress! smile159.gif It sounds like a great deal!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
