We are fine. We are all hoping for the best. We actually had to cancel our wedding last week. The scheduled date was for April 2nd. Now we have to try a different date in the future. We have no idea! Our family didn't want to come because it was so much drama. I am just hoping to use my 2 dresses smile03.gif

Blackkinu,

I'm sorry to hear that you had to change wedding plans but what's important is that you and your family are safe! And on a lighter note-- very excited to see your dress from dressilyme cheesy.gif. It's gorgeous! I am working with them as well with my dress, good to know they can deliver beautiful work!

I hope you can wear both your dresses as well!

Well ladies, i ordered a dress from weddinggirl on dhgate and they told me they could do the dress like the picture i sent and they would send me pictures before it was shipped and NO pictures and I got an email saying shipped then deleted so i talked to them today and they gave me a new tracking number but told me they didn't do the waist like i asked. I wanted it slanted with ruffles at the bottom and i am scared it is going to show up like a puffy princess dress! They changed it without asking me and shipped it with no pictures first so this should be interesting. I am going to wait and see what it looks like first but they flat out told me the stylist couldn't do it and changed it to the way she thought was best! Oh boy, i am so stressed right now. To be honest I don't even think it really shipped on time but they said 5-7days and it should arrive so let see! :(

Lisa, I really hope your dress turns out well. That's great that they got it shipped out so quickly. I'm still waiting for babyonline to finish mine. I really don't want to wear my first one but I'm really worried that the new one won't show up.

Blackkinu, the dress looks great on you. I hope you get to have your two dream weddings.

No prob's Court! and I know what you mean, we had no problem getting my bridesmaid into dresses that fit her in her size but they would never fit her "top half" we either had to go up a size in the dress just to get it to fit "the girls" but then it would look way too big everywhere else OR we would find dresses we could get her into but because her boobs are so big the dress would just look trashy because there was so much cleavage! This is why we decided to go the custom made route because we could have the dress made to accomodate her upper half perfectly :o)

I was SO sure that I was going to order a knock off dress from China as there is no way that a Stephanie James Couture Dress is in our budget and I've seen some on this thread that have turned out beautifully. Well, I went to try on some dresses yesterday and LOVED this After Six bridesmaid dress: http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/6553/?color=white&colorid=122 (with the band in white as well).

It's not much more expensive than ordering from China and it will be exactly the look I'm wanting to achieve (Vintage 1950s) once I add crinoline underneath! For the assurance of quality workmanship and material, I decided this route was better for me.

Good luck on finding your dream dresses!

Lisa,

What dress did you decide to go with?  I ordered dress number three from Babyonline about 3 weeks ago.  I fell in love with an oscar de la renta and figured why not give Babyonline a shot after seeing the details on another bride's dress.  Ordered a Cathedral length veil as well.

I have to say, they are very different to deal with comparing them to Monica Bridal.  There is definitely more attention and communication from Monica Bridal but I guess the end result is the most important factor.  I was told a week ago they need several more days to complete.  Not that I'm in a hurry, I'm just anxious to see it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
