Bonnie - you are great!  Thank you so much for your honest advice.  I would like to get in touch with Babyonline and see what they say.  I am a street size 6 (wedding dress size 8-10) , so I won't have a problem in that area.  I am more concerned with the person making the dress to get the rouching to lay correctly.  I want it tight and to lay flat.  I have seen some pictures of knock off's that the rouching looked a bit loose and bunched.  I was a little nervous with Monica Bridal because they sent me a response that had a link to a totally different dress and she told me it was the same price and just put in comments "dress we talked about in email" and pay through this link.  I don't feel too comfortable with that.

I am going to do a search on DHGate for Babyonline.  Or, if you have their email, please let me know.

Thanks again!!!

Michelle - I ordered my dress through Monica Bridal using the same method and was worried that I would end up with a different dress. There wasn't any issues with that. I also have some rouching on my dress and it lays flat. It's just two sizes too large. But I agree with Bonnie, you're dress is fairly simple so give Babyonline a try.

Michelle,

U r welcome.  You can just search babyonline on Dhgate.  The rouching and the front hem, you can talk about it with the dressmaker, but my feel is that you may need alter and pressing to make them according to your taste (a bit above the ground front hem and tight + flat rouching).  Unless you are very lucky, usually it will require fittings to make the dress fit like the one on the model pics.

Thank you so much for your input.  I really do appreciate it!!!  I contacted Babyonline and they responded very quickly.  They said they can make the dress, no problem.  So, I think that is it.  I am going to go with them.  Stay tuned, I will post pictures when I receive it.

Thanks again Ladies!

Michelle- I am the bride Bonnie said ordered a similar dress from babyonline. You can see pics I posted around page 185 I think. The dress fit perfectly and was well made. They were always quick to respond and I got the dress 18 days after ordering it. After I got the dress and tried it on a few times I had a few regrets about a couple of my choices (I ordered white and wished I had gotten ivory and I had them make it without the train and wished I had kept the train) so I had them make a second dress with the changes. I think they thought I was crazy but I got the second dress 2 days ago (exactly 18 days after ordering it again) and it is absolutely perfect. I'm going to have my mom take pics this weekend and then I'll try to post them. And even though I paid for 2 dresses I still only spent $230! I plan on selling the 1st one on craigslist but even if I don't it's still an amazing deal.

Thanks so much for sharing this.  I am going to go back and look at your first dress.  Actually I am trying to decide between white and ivory.  I didn't really want a stark bright white, but I also didn't want a yellow tint if I picked ivory.  I would love to see pictures of your new dress!!  You are right, they respond almost immediately each time. I can't believe you received your dress in 18 days!  That is awesome.

Please post pictures of your new dress.

You should use your other one for a TTD session, that way you don't have to ruin your actual wedding dress!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
