@TheFutureWagners: I did research online to find out what type of fabric the designer used. It was a hammered silk charmeuse, and the texture is what makes it wearable (at least for me!)  It kind of hides any imperfections, whereas regular flat charmeuse would show too much. I'm in NYC, so luckily I have access to all of the fabric stores in the fashion district. I did find stuff online, too. Before I bought the fabric, Milly actually sent me a fabric sample. They were really great.

Awesome! I'm from NY and I'm back there all the time so I have access to a lot too- that is great! Thanks!

I think it looks fantastic but agree about getting them to shorten the first ruffle. Also I don't see the flower thing on the dress either. Not sure if you asked them to remove that or not. The did a great job. Too bad they didn't have a close up of the bodice embroidery though.

I asked them to shorten the first layer and add another layer near the bottom. Hopefully she gets my message before sending. I zoomed in the picture and the bodice detail looks good to me. I didn't ask them to remove the flower but I like it better without.  Now we'll just see how long it takes to get to Ontario, and how long it takes until I get back to Ontario to check it out.

Hi there missraven,

No dress yet.  It's been about three weeks since I received notice that it was shipped.  I sent an email to Monica bridal this morning asking them to track it for me as there has been no updates on their shipping site.  According to EMS, it's still in China.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
