Karen&Rene - I just ordered from Monica Bridal last week, maybe I will have to ask about pre-shipping pictures. It might help tide me over until it arrives.

That's odd that Monica Bridal agreed to do this.  I had asked them to do this about a week or so ago before they shipped mine and I was told they could not do it.  The person I was dealing with said she was not in the same building as the factory. 

 

Weird but I'm glad they have agree to do the photos for you mochamakes3.

Ok ladies. Latest update is they have attempted delivery so I guess I will be picking up the dress tonight after work. YAY!

That's great news about the pics, I wish they would have done this for me when I asked.

I'm so excited to see your dress, Lisa!  If it turned out well, I'll be placing my order ASAP.  I'll probably order it in ivory, not the champagne-ish color that is in the photo I posted.  Because I'm ordering a completely custom dress (i.e. not based off of any dress they currently sell) they told me just to purchase a different dress that is the same price and put "payment for dress mentioned in email" in the remarks.  This seems strange to me... I just want to make sure they don't send me the dress in the listing, totally not my style, lol.  Did anyone else have this experience?  I also wonder if they told me they would send photos because they were trying to make the sale... let me know what they tell you ladies.

Karen-I wasn't comfortable ordering another dress either so they took a day or two and created an item number with the picture of my dress so i could pay on that one and put all notes and explanations in the emails attached to that dress item number. Ask them to do it and they will. That is their standard answer i think but press the issue. They flat out told me no to pictures prior to me paying so they didn't do that to get my sale. It just might be something they changed to be competitive with other dress makers as we are visual creatures! I hope they change it for you future brides cause then you don't feel like you are taking such a risk.

I so dont belong on this thread anymore but cant help living through you guys vicariously lol.  I just might order bridesmaids dresses through Monica Bridal though since so many of you seem satisfied with them.

I might order BM dresses from Monica Bridal also but haven't decided yet. I am going to wait and see how my dress turns out. I did find a really cheap alternative for BM dresses though through AVON of all places (they are like Mary Kay kinda). They have a blue convertible dress that is on sale for 34.99 plus taxes. I like it cause they can wear it like 7-11 different ways, it's light and flowey and it's very close to my color.
