Okay, my dress arrived almost a week ago (so the whole process from beginning to end took only 2 weeks!), but I have been visiting my parents and will not be seeing the dress until later this week. sad.gif

Personally, I am a nervous wreck, and I am scared to death. I cannot help but think of all ofthe worst case scenarios.

Of course, I will post pictures when I get my hands on it! Lol.

Mimi83, can't wait to see the dress!

I am a bit annoyed right now. When I ordered my dress from Gianninar they only took 3 weeks to send the proof pics, then I asked them to add beading....that was on May 20th! I sent them an email on Fri, and they replied right away, apologizing and told me the new proof photos would be sent in three days. I am sure they just forgot about it!!! I am impressed that they always seem to reply quickly, but I just thought anyone who is ordering a dress, or going to order a dress needs to email, email and email!! I am glad that I fibbed and told them I need the dress for July rather than the actually.. but if my wedding was actually in July I would be FREAKING OUT right now!!

I almost had Gianninar make some changes to my dress but after reading other's say it took 3 weeks to make the changes, I emailed Gianninar back and asked them to just ship it out to me. I only had 2 very minor changes so I'm just going to take the risk and have them send it out as they made it. I don't have a lot of time since my wedding is in 5 weeks... :)
I'll post pics of me in the dress when I receive it. They told me I should have it by the end of this week..

I was thinking about doing this too, since every girl wants her dream dress but not be out a ton of money, right? A friend had done this and was completely happy with her dress. She was able to custom it, she had emailed the company with pictures of different dresses, putting together an idea of exactly what she wanted. A mock dress was made out of cheap material so she was able to tell them to adjust it. When the dress came, it looked and fit her perfectly.

Finally had a chance to take a pic of me in my dress!! The first pic is me in the original Maggie Sottero 'Reese', the second is me in the knockoff that I got made from Gianinar. I have to be honest, I am glad it is my TTD because it fits a little weird. You can see in the pic that there is a crease at the top of my leg, it seems that they just cut the material badly. Overall, I am happy with it though- def worth the 150!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
