Since we're on the subject of weight loss, I just want to chime in and share with you guys what has worked for me. Back in December of 2009, I wore sizes 6 and 8. While that doesn't sound big, and on an average person, that would be nowhere near big. But, for my body type, I was extremely overweight because I'm very petite, and have very small bone structure/built (there are three bone sizes -- small, medium, and large, so a size 6 person with small bones would look totally different from a size 6 person with larger bones). Anyway, I was carrying so much excess fat on my body and extremely depressed.

So, I started doing the "30 Day Shred" workout, and stopped eating food that were fried (grilled tastes better anyway), had high fructose corn syrup, high in fat, etc., and by March 2010, just 3 months later, I went from a 6/8 in women's sizes, to only 1/2 in Aeropostale jeans (and that brand runs small!). I'd recommend signing up for an account at sparkpeople.com and keep track of your meals there. If you do the "30 Days Shred," record it on Sparkpeople as "circuit training." Anyway, the workout is only 20-minute-long, so it goes by really quickly. Lol.

i have actually been doing the Shred on and off for the last 10 months. it is one hell of a workout for someone my size, but i tried to do it as often as i could - until i got so sick of Jillian Michaels that i just couldn't take it anymore...lol.

i haven't done it in many months, but your message is a good reminder to get back at it! ...so thank you!!

It was delivered Thursday but for some reason they wouldn't leave it. So I picked it up from the post office yesterday. It's awesome! I'm really happy with it considering it was only $20 including shipping!! The listing said it was coming from California but it came from China. Doesn't really bother me. Here's the ebay store website AVIVABRIDAL items - Get great deals on Colored, Fingered items on eBay Stores! Unfortunately I didn't see any mermaid ones but maybe somebody else on ebay has them!

I also second the 30 day shred comment!! I'm two workouts away from starting level 3 and have lost 6 pounds and 3+ inches off my waist alone (i'm not following the diet but am just trying to eat better and within the ranges that Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople recommends for me.

I think that you should go have it dry cleaned, or steamed.

I just left mine hanging for awhile. I'm not sure how long you have before you're wedding but if you've got at least a month they should fall out fine. I checked into dry cleaning after our wedding and it was more than what I paid for the dress so I forgot about that idea!! Not sure what steaming would cost and I wouldn't attempt it myself pre-wedding. good luck!

Hi everyone,

I have read this entire thread to kind of figure out which company to go with for my dress. Unlike you ladies,I will not be getting married, but renewing our wedding vows. I wanted a dress that wasn't white,& fell in love with Vera Wang's "Diedre" in pale nude. Of course there is no way I can justify buying it for that price, but started looking at different websites that made replicas. These past 2 days,I have been in contact with 3 different companies(Duosheng-Gianinarbridal-Dress Times),but none of them had a pic of their version of the Diedre to email me. Anyone ever ordered from Dress Times?

I'm leaning toward Gianinarbridal though not only because of the price, but because they send proofs of the dress so you can decide whether to buy it or not. Does Duosheng send proofs also? I've gotten 3 different quotes for this dress:

Dress Times:$289.99 (+ $200 extra if I want high quality fabric) but they don't have any pictures of an actual Diedre dress that they actually made to email me. They sent me pictures of other dresses to see their work instead.

Duosheng: $399.87 for the high quality fabric(the only option I was given).

Gianinarbridal:$150 ($80 non refundable deposit,& pay the rest after proofs if I decide to buy).

I have to say that I don't care to add extra money for the high quality fabric, but would it be that much of a difference for organza and tulle? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the dress in pale nude and also in white:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
