woooooooohooooooooo!

I got the dress and I am OVER THE MOON!

Not only does it fit! it's stunning!

The dress is a LOT heavier than I was expecting, and it is well structured with full boning etc. The lining is a thick bridal satin and then there are several layers of beautiful quality chiffon over the top.

The beading is not as sparkly as the original - but I dont actually think thats a bad thing! I was a little concerned that my dress choice was a little too bling for a casual beach wedding...

Anyway - so here is the bit you have all been waiting for - the pictures!!

Now keep in mind that I am on my own, its 11pm at night, the lighting in the spare room (or wedding room as we now call it!) is shocking and I'm taking pics on my blackberry - without the flash so that I can see the reflection in the mirron - but I thought I better get some photos to you lovely ladies...

Thanks for all your support and kind words xx

I emailed Landy for a refund (not holding my breath) and let them know they fraudulently sold me a dress. It's one thing for a dress to be too big but to have me pay for a higher quality and bank that I wonâ€t know the difference? I was a professional ballerina so I am very familiar with chiffon qualities; polyester chiffon is heavier and rougher. I am over the stressing and after the alterations the dress will be fine. I had to move flowers around because they put this huge flower on my shoulder (think 80's big). In the pics the dress looks decent because I am holding the back tight so it doesn't sag. At that point I just had to deal with it and not make a big thing of it. I will let you know what Landy says, I wonder if they changed management because everything from them was quite good several months ago.

Bottom line is its fine it will work. Lucy did get back to me right now and asked for pictures. Will see what she says.

And they made the dress to my measurements...wonders who's measurements were those? Oh well I got it into alterations everything will be fine. I also had to ask the status of my dress after 30 days and they were like when do you need it? I told them within the 30 days but I have a feeling they had forgotten about my dress.
I think your dress look fabulous! But you only can judge the material they used, I would probably wouldn't see a difference because I only buy cheap clothes! LOL Had the same problem with Landy about sizing however, they told me it was made to my measures... I was not professionally measured (DBF did it), but really, there was no 25" waist on my dress... It was at least 2 inches off I'd say (and I had DBF re-measure me too). Was disappointed I had to spend more, I mean the dress was not as cheap as others (300$ with shipping), so adding another 100$ for alteration seemed bad. They didn't give me any money back, hope you have more luck. I still like the dress, and now that it was resized and padded at the bust, it is very pretty.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
