Bridal Shower!

Recommended Posts

So one of my friends is also getting married before me and I'm planning a bridal shower for her. I wanted to do something different, so the theme is sizzling, hot red!

Anyone have any ideas for fun games?

I got Martha Stewart favors that are just sooo prettty and would go well with anything.

Also, I was thinking of what I should do for like little things, personalizing little chocolates or something?

You are a good friend. Perhaps you could create a red signature cocktail to add to the decor and flavor of the shower and give it a fun name. Champagne cosmo, sangria, or add fresh cranberries/raspberries to a beverage. You can provide both alcoholic and non-alcoholic signature drinks.

Welcome! I recently went to a bridal shower where they asked the bride questions about the groom. Every time she got an answer wrong she had to chew a piece of gum and eventually ended u with a huge amount of gum in her mouth. It was actually really funny. They also played present bingo. We received an empty bingo card and you filled in presents you thought she was going to receive. If she got the present you cross it off your card. If you got three in a row you won a prize. I know these do not have anything to do with your theme but maybe you could switch them u a bit. Good luck!

I really like the CD idea as well. One game that I have seen online was the toilet paper game but you could use red streamers - and have groups of guests make wedding dresses out of the streamers. You would have one person in the group as the "model" and have others make the dress giving them tape of paper clips to hold the pieces together.

I'm the MOH for my cousin, getting married May 2. We just had her bridal shower last weekend and we did a few different games:

We did the one someone mentioned above with asking the bride questions about the groom, but we also included both moms to see who knew the groom the best.

We also put a list together of "household chores" and titled it Honey DO, Honey Don't and everyone had to put either the brides name or grooms name down on the chore they thought the person did. For example, my cousin ALWAYS does the cooking, but her FI always does the dishes and ironing. things like that.

We also did the bracelet game, where you give everyone a bracelet when they arrive and tell them not to say the word "wedding" and if someone catches you saying it, they get to take your bracelet. whoever ends up with the most bracelets, win!

For my bridal shower, we are going a "hat party." Like the kentucky derby Hats....

and we are having different types of salads, fruits, breads, and then giving everyone little antique handkerchiefs for favor. (I can get them from my mom at wholesale, only $1.25 per hankie...) hope this helps!

I just went to a bridal shower over the wkend. Each person was given an hr and had to buy a gift that coordinated with their hr. So you could have each person bring something hot and sizzling for their hr. For example, if you have 7am....you could do a coffee theme. Evening hrs you could do a hot bubble bath theme, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
